Thanks to major developments in technology, shooting a clip in slow motion is as easy as it gets. While it has its professional uses, it also has the potential to add a hilarious twist to certain moments in sports by exaggerating movements and expressions to create comedic effect. Carl Porter, an English comedian, gave editing applications a run for the money when he did a hilarious slow-motion impression of a football goal celebration in one of his shows.

He has posted a short snippet of his imitation on Instagram where it has gone viral with over 50.3 million views and 4 million likes. Porter asks the crowd, "I do a goal celebration in slow motion. Do you wanna see that?" The crowd is eager to see it and the comedian immediately jumps into action. Porter does an excellent imitation of a football striker, seeing the ball approaching the goal and running to intercept the pass from his teammate.

Even though Porter is standing in one place, his imitation is so good that you almost believe that he is running with vigor. The audience is thoroughly impressed and one of them yells out how classily he nails the goal celebration. We see Porter jump up to presumably head the ball into the goal, land and then look around with wide eyes to see if it is indeed a goal. Once the ball goes in, his expression hilariously changes from seriousness to one of utter happiness with beaming eyes and a wide smile.

He continues running, exclaiming something and then funnily thrusts out his hips. After this, he stands up and showcases a proud expression on his face, which evokes more laughter from the audience. Porter imitates Messi towards the end, looking at the sky with his finger pointed upward. The clip concludes with a black and white sped-up version of Porter's celebration and it is really remarkable how accurate it is. People, amazed at this slow-motion impression, just can't get enough of it.

This celebration is more reserved than the goal celebration. He does an excellent job of portraying the peculiar way that most tennis players celebrate. His facial expressions are also quite hilarious. The video concludes with him thanking the imaginary umpire in slow motion.
