The dad titled his post, "Single dad needs help buying a sports bra for my teen daughter," and one would guess that the dad was totally in the dark about bra shopping. Turns out, he had indeed done a little bit of research earlier and only resorted to the internet when he wanted to clarify the specifics. "I’m a single dad with a teen girl who is starting soccer this week. We figured she needed a sports bra, but I can’t figure out between a high-impact and medium-impact," the dad wrote in his post. "I’m guessing that’s for more aggressive sports? Like in protection for the chest area?" he added.

He then revealed his daughter's favorite brand and asked more questions about how to choose the size and the type of sports bra. "Also the high-impact zips up in the front and the medium-impact hooks in the back, if it makes a difference. I’m in over my head. Thank you in advance," the dad mentioned. Soon, dozens of recommendations swarmed in. Some suggested that his daughter try them on first, but the dad replied that "it’s 75 miles to the closest brick-and-mortar VS store." So, having the only option of shopping for bras online, the dad wanted to narrow down his search and people surely helped. He eventually took the internet's advice and mentioned in a comment that he had ordered the one that seemed right online.

Apart from the recommendations, many lauded the dad for coming forward to clear this doubt which other dads might find embarrassing to do. "Just wanted to say that you’re an awesome dad. You remind me of my dad. He bought pads, he helped shop for dresses and he was just an awesome man. I have such amazing memories of him and the way he made me feel. Well done, Dad, you’re setting her up for an amazing life," said u/primavoce72. "I just wanted to say you're doing an amazing job. I wish my dad had been so involved in trying to help me out when I was younger. I'm tearing up for you," commented u/Toadjokes. "Trust yourself. As a parent, you want what is best for your daughter and you're learning and willing to learn," added u/devilsphilanthropist.
