Clever dog figures out how to ride the bus alone to surprise his human at work

A very special canine is winning the internet's praise and adoration after learning a pretty nifty trick to surprise his human. Denver, a very smart dog from the city of Guayaquil, Ecuador, has become a local and international celebrity by figuring out how to use the public transportation system to visit his mom at work. The adorable pooch's adventures went viral on social media a few weeks ago after a video of Denver getting off a bus at the stop right outside his mom's pet store was shared online. Stunned netizens wondered how the pup knew which stop to get down at and whether the bus driver was in on the excursion.

Speaking to the news outlet Expreso, Denver's owner Gladys Shigla revealed the incident in the now-viral video is not the first time her pooch has taken the bus to visit her. Shigla—who runs a veterinary supplies store together with her husband, Nicolás—explained that Denver's adventures began about a month ago when he followed a neighbor into a bus and sat beside her. The woman, who was on her way to work, made sure he got off at the stop beside Shigla's store so that he didn't get lost.

According to The Dodo, Shigla adopted Denver last year. Since becoming a part of her family, the canine proved himself to be a bold and adventurous soul who initially loved exploring the neighborhood around their home. Little did the family know, their four-legged loved one would soon learn how to expand his exploration territory and go as far as to figure out how public transportation works. Even after Denver's first bus ride to their store, no one imagined that the smart canine would manage to do it once again, let alone make a habit out of it.

However, there's no stopping a determined dog like Denver and he has since made it a regular practice to take the bus to his human's pet supply store. He has become such a popular sight onboard that even the bus drivers now know where to drop him off. Like the drivers, Denver's adventures have amused many online who remarked on the canine's intelligence and love for his family. "Give this baby boy all the love you can because he earns it every day unless mom is home, Cmon parents, admit it. You are jealous! You should be. He has more heart than all of ya.
