High school musicals can be very important for school students who are into theatre. Therefore, these performances become transformative experiences. The entire series of events—from auditioning and rehearsing to then finally taking the stage—makes for a fun, memorable experience that kids remember throughout their lives. TikTok influencer and high-school choir teacher Myles Finn (@itsmrfinn) has taken extra steps to make sure the event is even more exciting for his students by indulging in a long reveal of each year's musical.

The teacher previously went viral for doing an extensive seven-part series on the social media website where he slowly revealed the musical that his students would be doing for 2023. The first five videos involve the teacher going up to a whiteboard where he has put the names of famous musicals and eliminating a few of them. Viewers get to witness the students teeming with anticipation and excitement as their teacher walks up to the board and makes his choice. After a series of eliminations over many videos, the teacher then has a final round of elimination before making a grand reveal.

In the case of the 2023 musical, the final names were both taken off the board, after which Finn went on to open up a video on his laptop where he revealed that the students would be doing "The Addams Family." The teacher makes the same level of effort in unveiling the musical for 2024 with a series of videos. In the case of the 2024 musical, the final ones left are "Annie," "Mamma MIA!" and "The Wizard of Oz." The students are wary since he completely surprised them with something that was not on the board the previous year.

In one of the final videos, he asks his class, "Are you ready?" After this, he requests that they imitate a drumroll as he walks up to eliminate one of the three musicals off the whiteboard. He plays around for a bit till he eventually walks up to the computer and opens up a video similar to how he did it the previous year. The video opens up to reveal the teacher recording himself on his webcam. He then exits the room and the clip goes into a video-conferencing format where three personifications of the remaining musicals show up and make their case.

In the final video, we get to see the conference end before he requests Alexa to reveal what the 2024 musical will be. The video goes blank and a second later, the students see that they would be doing "The Wizard of Oz" on the screen. The students can be heard exclaiming in excitement.
