Chimps' reaction after seeing man's prosthetic leg for the first time is absolutely hilarious

Animals have a high intellect that often goes unnoticed. However, for those who observe, it is a pleasure to understand how animals are intrigued by life’s many inventions and innovations. Jess Collinson–who goes by @jjcollinson on TikTok–shared a video of her experience at a zoo when she and her family were astounded to see chimpanzees have a wholesome reaction. Collinson had gone to the zoo with her husband and sons and the trio had a delightful time engaging in their unique way with the furry animals. Collinson’s husband has a prosthetic leg and when the chimps noticed it, they had an amusing reaction.

The man noticed the chimps observing the prosthetic leg and lifted it higher for the guy to get a clearer view. The minute the chimp saw this unusual form of a leg, he was stunned and let out a shocked, adorable reaction. He looked again in disbelief, having no idea why the man’s leg was as is. He then started making sounds to call his fellow mates and signal them to take a look. Collinson chuckled at how the chimp was fascinated by seeing something quite normal for humans. Her toddler son, not understanding why the creatures reacted the way they did, adorably put his tiny leg up to see if they’d get as excited.

The chimps signaled and another furry guy immediately came around to see. The man sweetly lifted his leg to the glass again so they could see. “He’s calling all his mates,” she said. The two chimps stared at the leg and it was amusing to see how surprised they were. Calling still more chimps to have a gaze, they continued making sounds till the others came through. One of the chimps got over-hyped and ran towards the protective glass and began to knock on it, after which he immediately sat down when he caught a glimpse of the prosthetic leg.

The chimps couldn’t comprehend the new equipment the man was using just like a leg but so visually different. Many people had a good laugh at the adorable reaction the chimps had while others tried their best to decode what the chimps were communicating. @catcastaway said, “The first one clutched invisible pearls.” @moko_kiss said, “The one that knocked the glass, ‘Get that thing outta here!’” @.freeyourself said, “What’s interesting is that when he called it’s almost like he said, ‘Look at this leg,’ because when the other guy came, he looked straight at the leg.”
