She was initially confused when she couldn't keep up with the sudden change of choreography done by her team but the reason behind it justified everything.
Imagine practicing a dance routine with your troop only for it to change at the last minute. What could be the reason behind this? Danielle Bush, who is on the cheer team for the American professional basketball team, Utah Jazz, was left speechless and confused when her fellow dancers started switching up the choreography. They were performing in the Vivint Arena and Bush. It possibly felt like her worst nightmare coming to life as she tried hard to keep up with the new steps, per KSL.
Little did she know, it was all part of an elaborate proposal plan that her boyfriend Brandon crafted with her cheer teammates. Bush was just following their original dance routine when the music switched all of a sudden. Unprepared, she pooled her efforts and hid a smile of embarrassment to copy the people around her and that's when Brandon walked into the basketball court from behind. As the song "Marry You" by Bruno Mars started playing, realization quickly set in for Bush who clapped her mouth shut in surprise. The video clip was shared by the official X handle of @utahjazz.

Then Brandon got down on a knee and made his proposal in front of the cheer team and the audience. Bush accepted the proposal as they hugged and kissed. Turns out the dance team's director Ashley Kelson was a part of the plan that Brandon set up for the proposal. Brandon reached out to Kelson, asking if he could propose Bush on the court. "I wanted to make it big and special for her for sure," Kelson told the news outlet. "Making it a part of the routine was so much fun." Practicing the other part of the choreography in secret was tricky.
But Kelson scheduled Bush for a community event during a practice slot to ensure that she was not present while her teammates rehearsed the alternate choreography. Before the original event, the team continued practicing with Bush, following their initial dance routine. "It was an honor to plan with Brandon and be a part of their special moment and just proud of my team for keeping it a surprise," Kelson revealed. "It definitely was a team effort." Kelson was nervous as well but she was glad that everything went according to the plan.

"It was all to surprise her and make the moment special," Kelson added. "So I know as a dancer, you're kind of like, 'What is going to come next?' It was just a highlight and made her day special. I knew it was going to be big and special, but to see the response from the community and just the people, the crowd, it got a huge response. So for everyone to come together and celebrate that with her was just so awesome to see." As of now, Bush and Brandon are happily married as she has recently given birth to the couple's first child, a baby boy Declan. She also announced on her Instagram that she has taken a break from the cheer team and is focusing on her family.
The most wholesome moment 🥺
