The candy store unknowingly busted the man's side affair, and people were bewildered to see that both women were pregnant at the same time

A man in Alabama visited a candy store thinking that he was getting a sweet treat, but now he is getting a bitter backlash, not just from his wife, but from millions of people across the internet. The candy store posted a picture of him with a woman on Facebook, advertising a regular, happy customer visit. Apart from attracting customers, the post ended up catching the attention of a lady who identified herself as the man’s wife in what the internet is calling a sticky situation. The story eventually caught fire on the internet and stirred an uproar about the man. In an August 18, 2026, TikTok video, which has amassed over 260,000 views, Lee Hammock (@iamleehammock) shared the story.

People are pondering the odds of this least likely scenario. Of all the photos that the candy store could have posted, they selected the photo of this man and unknowingly busted him. The man was visiting Candy Corner Candy Store in downtown Prattville with a pregnant woman. The photo, as shared by Hammock and other outlets, shows the man standing, an arm entwined with this woman, both smiling, with the caption “First visit at a Candy store!” Below the photo is a comment from Nataleigh Dailey: “That’s my husband.”

According to a comment Hammock shared in the video, Dailey remarked that “it’s crazy how we're both pregnant at the same time and we already got two kids.” When asked whether she feels anger at the woman in the photo, she said, “It’s okay, baby, only if she knew.” She also left a comment on Hammock’s video saying, “Wife here! Yes, this is true, sadly.” After the incident, Dailey has changed her Facebook status to single while the internet is still whipping up ruminations on the tangy situation. Meanwhile, after the uproar erupted, the candy store removed the photo from its official Facebook page and has made no comment on the incident, according to an August 18, 2:by the International Business Times.
Infidelity unfolds in different ways. According to the Body+Soul 2024 Sex Census, 18% of the cheaters get caught when a third party exposes their cheating to their partner, and 17% are busted when their partners check their phones. Only 5% are caught red-handed in the act. But social media has made it virtually impossible for people to hide their affairs for too long. As the CheatScanX Research Team revealed, 28% of the affairs are discovered through social media posts, interactions, or evidence. While this man was expecting to get a KitKat or candy cane, he ended up with a divorce.

People don’t know whether to make jokes about the poor man whose affair was so easily busted or express sympathy to Dailey, who appears seemingly nonchalant in her comments. Others are calling out the important role of the internet as an investigator. Many are pointing out how the two women look not too different from each other, which is bizarre. @mschat89 humorously remarked, “He probably got them mixed up!” @richardcaudillo817 commented, “He got a type.” @i_karley7 said, “What did he think the candy store was going to do with the picture?”
