According to Mayo Clinic, Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) is an uncommon cancer that develops in soft tissues, particularly in skeletal muscle or occasionally in hollow organs like the bladder or uterus. While RMS can appear at any age, it primarily affects children.  Typically, a combination of surgery, chemotherapy and radiation therapy is used for treatment. Notably, significant progress in treating Rhabdomyosarcoma has led to better outcomes. However, individuals undergoing intense chemotherapy and radiation need lifelong monitoring to detect potential late effects after treatment.

In another wholesome story about defeating cancer, a young boy's friends surprised him on his final day of cancer treatment. Posted by his mom, the touching TikTok video portrays her son surrounded by his closest friends, showing the power of actual bonds and the unwavering love of genuine companionship.
