Brother inspires many by selflessly donating bone marrow to help his sibling beat leukemia

A true relationship is with a person who comes to aid in times of adversity and can celebrate joys with a person as well. No other bond checks these criteria better than that of siblings. Sure, they’ll have the most reckless fights, but when the need arises, they’ll be each other’s strongest rock and then celebrate with the loudest cheer. u/Zerocare shared a post that is evidence of the same on Reddit. The two brothers’ unconditional love and bond were brightly shining in the images shared along with the post. The brother shared that he had come quite far on a tragic journey with his brother. He mentioned that he had leukemia and it was his brother who came to his rescue.

“Five years ago, my brother donated his bone marrow to cure my leukemia,” the brother said. Along with the text, three images represented the journey it has been for the brother duo over the last five years. The first image was that of the two brothers in the hospital. The brother who had leukemia was in the hospital bed with all medical equipment, still showing much strength and a smile. His brother was right by his side in the picture, smiling strongly with him. The next image was presumably taken during the brother’s treatment. He seemed sick and wasn’t in a state to be with anyone. He was lying in his bed and undergoing the treatment. It must have surely been a difficult time for the siblings and their families.

However, the third picture brings a boost of hope. The third picture shows the brothers in a hilariously adorable pose where one is acting as if he is taking control of the other through imaginary force and the other brother is mid-air as if he is getting all his power sucked by his sibling. “We traveled together this summer!” the caption of the post continued to read. The vacation marked the success and accomplishment of their journey together against the sickness. “Thanks to his gift, we can grow up together,” the brother wrote. People were filled with awe at the emotion that reeked out of the post and the images. Over 36K people commented on the post sharing wishes, applause and much more.
