Bride's mother and aunts go all out to surprise her with a spectacular retro performance at wedding

Weddings are precious milestones that blend joy and nostalgia, particularly for parents as they watch their offspring begin a new chapter in life. In one such heartwarming celebration, a bride was pleasantly surprised when her mother and aunts decided to surprise her with a special wedding performance. A video shared by wedding videographer Jason Hunter (@afterglowweddings) has captivated netizens, evoking emotions of pure love and unbridled joy. The beautiful performance has now gone viral with over three million views online. 

In the video, the bride's mother and her aunts, dressed in vibrant attires, take center stage and perform to the iconic song "Super Trouper" by the pop group ABBA. As the beautiful bride stood there, surprised and spellbound, her family danced to what was perhaps her favorite song on her special day. With her hands clasped over her mouth in total disbelief, the bride looked overwhelmed as she watched her loved ones perform. Eventually, she let go of her inhibitions and started dancing as well.

Sharing the video, the UK wedding videographer wrote, "How special is this moment? I absolutely love it when I get told about a wedding surprise and when the bride's mum came up to me and said we have a very special performance planned for later, my eyes lit up." Hunter called the ladies "iconic girls" as he praised them for their amazing performance. "I can’t imagine how they feel when they watch it back!" he added.

The video quickly gained popularity on social media within minutes of being posted. People loved the wedding surprise performance as they flooded the comment section with heartfelt messages. @nunu_zoo wrote, "What a fun, beautiful memory for them. How extraordinary that they went all out to do this." Similarly, @nessgray commented, "I love that! I wanted to do that at my daughter's wedding but turns out she doesn't want to get married." On the other hand, @coriol commented, "I would personally die of secondhand embarrassment, but they are happy so that's all that matters." @cravenkeast had a similar wedding story and wrote, "My mom and her three sisters stood up and sang at our reception! Nothing this elaborate; but still special to my husband and me."

In a similar incident, new bride Sadie Cloward's (@getknittyywithit) mother surprised everyone with her nostalgic performance on ABBA's classic hit, "Super Trouper" at her wedding reception. In a video shared online, we see a wonderful recreation of a scene from the popular film "Mamma Mia!" when Amanda Seyfried's character, Sophie, is surprised by her mother, Donna, played by Meryl Streep, at the bachelorette party. Cloward's mother presented a captivating performance of the retro song with brilliant choreography, incorporating some familiar dance moves from the 2008 film as well. According to PEOPLE, Cloward revealed, "The dance was a complete surprise! I had no idea! My mom and I have always loved 'Mamma Mia,' and ABBA. I would never have thought Mom would do something like this as she is typically not one for the spotlight. It was so special to see her up there dancing and it meant so much."
