A bride put a fun twist on her wedding vows with Eminem lyrics, leaving guests in laughter and captivating the internet.
Weddings hold a special place in our society, and many go the extra mile to make them a memorable event in their lives. Some even take inspiration from their celebrity idols to bring a modern yet unique twist to the traditionally celebrated union. In one such instance, a woman who happens to be an ardent follower of rap music decided to honor her beloved rapper in the most wholesome way during her wedding. Videographers Jay and Mack Hovland (@jayandmack) took to Instagram to share how a bride at California’s Holly Farm, Rizza-Belen Diaz, swapped her wedding vows with Eminem’s lyrics.

The video from the couple’s destination wedding quickly went viral, captivating viewers across the internet. The groom, Josh Dodson, was taken aback when his bride started reading the lyrics to Eminem’s blockbuster song "Lose Yourself." To everyone’s surprise, the song's lyrics perfectly resonated with the context of their marriage.
The final moments of the wedding, featuring the flamboyant couple of Asian descent, had their guests in stitches, especially with Rizza-Belen’s vow antics. “If you had one shot, or one opportunity, to see if everything you ever wanted is one moment, would you capture it? Or just let it slip?” the bride read from a piece of paper. At this point, Josh couldn’t hold back his laughter and began to enjoy the moment.
“I didn’t realize Eminem’s lyrics made for great wedding vows,” the text overlay on the footage read. Emphasizing how Josh somehow managed to “capture” the special moment, Rizza-Belen continued, “And here I am, palms sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy. No vomit on my dress, but I do love your mom’s spaghetti.” The guests were equally impressed with the joyful twist the bride brought to the ceremony. “I’m nervous, you’re nervous, but on the surface, we look calm and ready,” Rizza-Belen remarked, trying to ease the couple's butterflies. For a brief moment, the bride transitioned into full rapper mode, reading her own version of "Lose Yourself." “I’m trying hard not to forget what I wrote down, but I think I got this, so snapping back to reality,” she said.
Keeping all the jokes aside, Rizza-Belen ended her vows by simply confessing that she was happy her future husband took a shot and didn’t let the chance slip away. “I’m so lucky because a Josh Dodson comes once in a lifetime, yo,” she concluded. The 48-second clip has been receiving widespread attention on social media since it was first shared in May earlier this year. The bride's unconventional decision to use Eminem's lyrics struck gold with the internet crowd.
“She’s a keeper! That’s an Oscar award-winning vow,” @hoyaterp007 remarked. “These are the most amazing vows ever. They’re (the guests) probably laughing non-stop. Love this,” @highgrillz added. @purple_panda94 wrote, “Imagine never having seen 8 Mile but attending this wedding. You would think the bride was losing herself.” “This is the best thing I’ve seen on the internet in months,” @__joske__said.
