Kayla Six-McLaughlin (@kaylashaye), 29, married Jonathon McLaughlin, 30, in an elaborate ceremony in North Lawrence, Ohio. Everything about the wedding was beautiful — the venue, wedding attire, decorations, etc. — but what really made it unforgettable was the bride realizing she had forgotten to carry her wedding ring mid-ceremony. Well, Kayla and Jonathon were standing hand-in-hand at the altar with the wedding officiant about to start the ceremony when she asked the bride for her wedding ring. Kayla went blank; she immediately recalled leaving it in the bridal suite in chaos. What followed was quiet laughter with people thinking, 'Is that actually possible?' Kayla posted the video on TikTok.

@_kaylashaye everyone panicked professionally #weddingday #bridetok #pov #weddingceremony #fyp thank you DJ @Helker Silva223 ♬ original sound - kaylashaye

The wedding officiant called both of their parents for the 'ring warming' ceremony. At first, Kayla thought the officiant had her ring, but then she realized she had left it in the bridal suite. Embarrassed, the bride honestly informed the officiant what had happened. Surprisingly, instead of panicking, the officiant immediately took off her own wedding ring to use as a substitute. But, thankfully, someone announced it, and Helker Silva, the DJ, ran towards the bridal suite in search of the ring. Soon enough, he returned with the ring and handed it to the maid of honor, saving the moment. At the end, the mistake just turned into a funny, unforgettable wedding moment. "The sound of laughter from our guests could be heard, with big smiles on their faces. I think they were just as shocked as Jonathon and I were. There was a sense of anticipation in the air as everyone waited to see how we would move forward," Kayla told PEOPLE.

Moreover, she said, it's a reminder for people that even the most carefully planned moments can take unexpected turns. "It became one of those memories we can now smile and laugh about," Kayla added. She wanted to share the moment online because she knew she wasn't the first bride to forget something so big at her wedding. "I thought it was a moment many people could relate to," she confessed. We guess Kyla was right, because another couple, Ryan and Luke Devaney, too, had spent months planning their wedding, only to forget the most important thing — the rings. Right at the altar, Luke was the first to notice the absence of their rings. He quickly alerted his wife-to-be, who looked equally confused. Somehow, the couple alerted their friends and family, who managed to get it to them just in time. Later, it was revealed that the groom's best man, who was in charge of the rings, had, in fact, forgotten to carry them.

Meanwhile, reacting to the hilarious goof-up, for instance, @wisco.girl414 commented, "Oh, I’m so sorry this happened, but what a great example of those around you coming together to rally for you! As you continue down this path of life, may those around you — strangers or family — lift you and provide a helping hand, and may you always know that no matter what, y'all's love will overcome any obstacle! Wishing you a lifetime of happiness!" Similarly, @alittlewonky wrote, "I've worked multiple weddings where they have forgotten the rings. I don't know why, but it's so common." @oriahellen wrote, "The officiant gently parented the bride to figure out where the ring was without anyone panicking."
