Weddings may be a celebration of two hearts, but they’re often seen as the bride's special day. Many women dream of a perfect wedding, basking in the love and attention of friends and family. Unfortunately, it only takes one bad apple to spoil that dream. This May, a 28-year-old woman who goes by u/kimberlyn008 on Reddit shared a "petty wedding revenge" story that occurred between her two friends, Sarah and Taylor. The two women got engaged around the same time, but the drama began when Taylor chose to wear white to Sarah's wedding.

The friend shared that Taylor would often try to overshadow Sarah's wedding preparations. "Anytime Sarah would have an event (dress shopping, bridal shower, etc.) Taylor would go out of her way to remind the other girls not to wear white because it's only for the bride," the woman explained. Taylor was often "passive-aggressive" about Sarah's wedding plans and tried to steal her thunder by comparing their choices. Things got really twisted when Taylor wore a white floral dress to Sarah's wedding. Though there were flower patterns, the dress was mostly white and u/kimberlyn008 felt it was a faux pas.

"Sarah's mother confronted Taylor about the dress and she said it was fine to wear because it had a flower pattern. It wasn't all white," the woman mentioned. Taylor gave the same justification to Sarah when she was shocked by this attempt to outshine her. However, being the witty woman she is, Sarah calmly accepted Taylor's explanation and said that she understood, only to cue in petty revenge later. At Taylor's wedding, Sarah wore the same floral white dress, sparking an outrage from the furious bride. The woman explained in a comment that Sarah got to know about Taylor's white dress from her public Pinterest board and ordered the same one to wear at her wedding.

When called out by Taylor, Sarah had an epic response, saying, "But don't you remember? You wore this to my wedding! You were totally right about the pattern! It's so beautiful!" When Taylor tried to reason that her dress was mostly floral with a little white, Sarah silenced her with her wedding pictures as evidence. "See! Now we're twins!" Sarah quipped to Taylor. She made sure that any wedding guest who asked about the white dress knew what Taylor wore to her wedding. "The two have not spoken since and I will continue to praise my friend for having the lady balls I will never have," the woman concluded.

People were amazed at Sarah's witty retort and lauded her brilliant idea. "Sarah crushed it. Taylor knew what she was doing when she wore the dress. She just didn't think Sarah would have the guts to get revenge," said u/Nodramallama18. "The fact that she denied wearing it when Sarah literally has high-quality printed photos of that day! Insane and well-played petty revenge," remarked u/samsg1. "I love this. Karma at its finest. I can hear the song now. 'Anything you can do, I can do better,'" quipped u/Gandoff2169. "I would have printed the picture on a t-shirt and wore it over the dress to the event," added u/ButteredPizza69420
