Dad reads out bride's old text with lines of Camila Cabello's song, and it's an emotional plea his son-in-law will remember forever

It's always difficult for a father to watch his daughter walk down the aisle. It's a mixed feeling since he is excited that his daughter has finally found the man of her dreams, but is scared to lose her to someone else. Claudia's dad, too, experienced it when he saw her step into her new life with her husband, Matthew. In his speech, he read out Claudia's text to him, which had unknowingly prepared him for the emotional day. Ben (@bramblehedgevideos), a wedding videographer from Derby, England, posted the video on Instagram on November 12.

A year before her wedding, Claudia had sent her dad a WhatsApp text. Well, she had attached a video performance of Camilla Cabello's song, ''First Man,'' in the message, and had challenged him to watch it without crying. "In the song, she sings directly to her father about her romantic relationship with a good man," her father said. He confessed that he listened to it but lost the challenge as he ended up crying. Claudia's dad was specifically touched by a few lines in the song that go, "I swear on my heart that he's a good man. I promise he loves me; he would never hurt me. You held me so tight, now someone else can. But you were the first man who really loved me." He asked Claudia's husband, Matthew, to be that good man for his daughter. He asked him to promise him to love Claudia, never hurt her, and always hold her tight. The bride was clearly emotional as tears rolled down her cheeks. The man ended his speech with a special message for his daughter. He said, "Claudia, never forget that I was the first man who really loved you, and I always will."

Weddings can be tough for brides' parents, especially their dads. For the longest time, they get to be their daughter's first love, but it all changes when another man enters her life. Fathers, in fact, experience the grief of 'losing' or 'giving away' their daughters at their wedding. Louie Ocampo, a composer and musical director in the Philippines, chose to express his feelings not through words but through a beautiful song at his daughter, Bertie's, wedding. The father performed an original song titled "Baby Steps Through Time" on his piano, bringing the bride and the entire venue to tears. He mentioned how overwhelming it was for him to watch Bertie transform from a little girl to a bride through his music. 

Meanwhile, Claudia's father's beautiful speech on his daughter's wedding day stole hearts on the Internet. Reacting to it, @violetsforvictoria commented, "This made me cry… beautiful relationship!" @marianmarymac wrote, "So beautiful, lucky girl to have such a loving dad." @ajpolo001 said, "Daddy's little princess. No one would love his little princess as much as her father." @patriciamiller004 added, "I hope she realizes how lucky she is." @mancinelli.doris wrote, "What a beautiful dad speech... I think most dads would all agree with that. God bless!" On the other hand, @lawsy41 confessed, "Damn. I dread this day when I have to give my daughter to another man."
