The first dance after a wedding is special for every couple. It celebrates the years leading to the wedding and the life that is about to unfold. It also celebrates love, togetherness and joy. For one couple, this dance happened 25 years after their marriage. It was on the special day of their daughter's wedding reception. When the couple finally got to the dance floor as their daughter had planned for them, many people in the venue became emotional after seeing them. As for why they never got to do their wedding dance is because the couple fell in love and eloped when they were 18 years old. They never had a wedding ceremony or the first dance.

But they were destined to have a first dance when their daughter Zoe married her boyfriend, Ezra. This wedding ceremony took place in the loving presence of friends and family. In this reception, we see a video of Zoe opening the dance floor for her parents after she had danced with Ezra. The moment has gone viral on TikTok with 6.7 million views on it. "As some of you may or may not know, my parents ran away when they were 18 and got married in secret," Zoe told her wedding guests. "They never got their own first dance. So, we would like to give that to you guys as a thank you for always being there for us and supporting us."

The parents, Jacque and Chris, were surprised by their daughter's offer. Jacque also had tears in her eyes as she stepped on the dance floor with her husband. "This one's for you, Mom and Dad!" Zoe said. In the TikTok video, they included several photos from the moment. For the background music to this dance, they picked Ellie Goulding's version of "Your Song" by Elton John.

The video has warmed the hearts of many on the platform and comments have been showered from the users. She also uploaded a follow-up video about how they had eloped when they were 18. "We got together when we were 15 and married right after high school," she said. "He joined the Air Force and became a firefighter." The couple soon gave birth to two daughters and a son. She also told Insider that they had renewed their vows in 2017, but there was no ceremony. "We were like, 'We don't need a wedding,'" she said. "But to have that moment Zoe gave to us... that fulfilled me in a way that I didn't even know I wanted or needed. It was a beautiful moment to have with him."
