To make a wedding more special, couples usually decide crucial things, like the food menu, venue, wedding cards, etc. Most of the time, brides even finalize the color scheme of the wedding day decor and party clothes. However, when it comes to the guests, they are usually allowed to wear anything they want. However, this bride wanted to make sure that her guests were also color-coordinated but it didn't really go well with people on the internet.

In a video posted by Betti Adams—who goes by @bettiladams on Instagram—her husband-to-be can be seen using a brush to paint four colors on the invitation card, which includes pink, beige, brown, and black. The overlay text reads, "POV: not one single printer could print your wedding colors accurately enough, so your fiance paibted all the colors on every single invite." Toward the end, they show the many invites the fiance has colored just to ensure everyone wears the colors mentioned on the card. Adams had been posting DIY videos while prepping for her wedding and this was one of those.

The video went viral with over 9 million views. It is captioned, "Affordable wedding planning series over on my TikTok!" @stepsetting commented, "If you can't bear the margin of error at the printer, how are you going to react when someone's dress is a close but not exact match?" @kiwikillsme wrote, "Comes with a dress #F8E2B1 instead of #F8E2B4 and the bride sets me on fire mid-reception." @rebecaaahhh expressed, "Expecting people to spend money on new outfits for your wedding color scheme is rude." @skhodz wrote, "Hope there's as much thought going into making the wedding fun for guests as there is controlling the shade of brown they wear." @jessica.hainsworth said, "That's the strangest color scheme, at least you've got black on there though, the rest are very specific color tones. I find something strange about policing friends' fashion choices, but the idea of cute handmade invitations is quite adorable."

Though many people were upset that the bride was trying to control what the guests wore, some people supported her for being precise about how she wanted her wedding day to look. Defending her decision, Adams said that people could call her "sad and beige" and everything else, but the colors she chose were all neutral tones and were her "calm colors." "I didn't tell anyone to purchase anything. We wanted our guests to match the colors of the wedding," she said. She also added that she would be happy if people showed up in black, per her interview with news.com.au.

In another scenario of defending wedding choices, a man was questioned on why he spent $35,000 on a wife's wedding ring and his answer was winning hearts. He told the interviewer, "I get a loyal partner. I get the mother of my children." He continued, "I get the most beautiful woman that I've ever been around." He said, "The most important thing is how she treats me and my family and her family. So, for me, I have a partner for life." All the while the person was talking, his wife just looked at him in awe. A TikTok account, @ieinbesties_, shared the video in one of their episodes. The actual clip was from @thedesirabletruth. The show's hosts appreciated what the man shared and were happy that they were not materialistic things.
