Bradley Cooper might be the star of "Maestro" but his 6-year-old daughter caught everyone's attention after whipping out a coloring book on the red carpet.
Bradley Cooper might be an Oscar-nominated actor but his daughter was the star of the red carpet event this time. Cooper and his 6-year-old daughter Lea De Seine walked the red carpet event of his film "Maestro" on December 12, 2023, which was organized in Los Angeles, per TODAY. However, unlike the seasoned celebrities who are accustomed to the flashing cameras of paparazzi and walking the red carpet with grace, Cooper's little one wasn't that interested in the event.
Thankfully, she had her sling bag from which she whipped out a coloring book, plopped down on the red carpet floor of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures and started doing what appeared more interesting to her. The video clip was shared by @entertainmenttonight on their Instagram profile which gained a lot of traction and comments from netizens. Lea vigorously erases something in her book, then calls out to her dad to get his attention while he is chatting with his co-star Carey Mulligan.
Cooper's daughter appeared on the red carpet alongside her dad in an adorable animal print dress and a red and black crossbody purse while posing for the photo call event at the premiere. The internet couldn't help but gush at the little girl who came prepared to the premiere knowing that the glitz and glamour won't interest her. @anaavmore noted, "I’m so happy to see she’s just a little girl not pretending to be a grown-up." @diana196195 wrote, "Yes Lea did steal the show. She is coloring in with a little girl, she's the reason they have good co-parenting, he's a hands-on dad, takes her to school when Irina is working, so lovely."
Cooper recently appeared with fellow Hollywood star Emma Stone during an “Actors on Actors” conversation for Variety. The "A Star Is Born Actor" spoke about Lea and how she always puzzles him with pretty tough questions. “I was with my daughter the other day, she’s like, ‘So what happens after when you die?’” Cooper told Stone. “I was like, ‘I don’t know’ because I always tell her the truth.” Lea had asked him back if Google knew the answer or not. “I was like, Oh my God,” Cooper said, who ended up distracting Lea by getting her ice cream. “I was like, ‘Maybe?’”
According to Elle, Cooper's latest film "Maestro" is marketed as "a love letter to life and art" and an emotional epic portrayal of family and love" which features Cooper as esteemed conductor Leonard Bernstein and Mulligan as his wife Felicia Montealegre Bernstein. Cooper's daughter also has a small part in the film where she plays the younger version of actress Maya Hawke's character, Jamie Bernstein. Cooper also co-parents Lea with his ex-partner, model Irina Shayk who also dished out their family dynamics during an interview with Elle US in November 2023.
Despite splitting from Cooper in 2019, both he and Shayk wanted to give their daughter a normal childhood. Neither Shayk nor Cooper has ever employed a nanny and, despite their work commitments, one of them has always walked with Lea to school in New York City. "He’s the best father Lea and I could dream of. It always works, but it always works because we make it work," Shayk told the outlet. According to PEOPLE, Cooper and Shayk began dating in 2015 and welcomed their first and only child together, daughter Lea De Seine Shayk Cooper, in 2017.
