Imagine being forcefully away from your children, even for a moment. The thought itself is downright scary, right? Unfortunately, every year, thousands of children go missing—some are kidnapped while others are lost, leaving behind heartbroken families who helplessly hold on to the hope of reuniting with their kids. However, only a handful of lucky families reunite with their kids, and the rest are left trapped in a never-ending cycle of searching, waiting, and wondering. Cody Clawson, a young man from Wyoming, was one such fortunate child who made his way back to his family, all thanks to the "Star Wars" actor, Harrison Ford.

In 2001, Clawson, a then-teenager and Boy Scout, went missing near Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, ABC News reported. The situation became tense when he couldn't find his way back, even after 18 hours, and he spent the entire night curled up in a cave. "It rained and sleeted that night. It was pretty scary," Clawson shared with the news outlet. The next morning, the young boy woke up to the noises of airplanes and helicopters overhead. Clawson saw this as an opportunity and began looking for an open space to signal his presence.

"I used my belt buckle to reflect the sunlight. They saw it and landed," he revealed. When the helicopter landed, Clawson couldn't believe his eyes when he saw the Raiders of the Lost Ark actor approaching him. "He said, 'Good morning,' and I recognized [his voice] because he said it just like he did in 'Star Wars.' He asked how I was doing and said, 'You certainly should have earned a merit badge for this,'" Clawson shared. Moreover, the man who now lives in Utah with his wife and son recalled more about the rescue and said, "I'd just like to express my gratitude to him and my best wishes." Clawson went on to add, "I was always grateful and hoped the best for him."

The heartwarming story came to light once again when an individual who goes by u/ordinarybrilliant717 shared Ford's decades-old rescue mission on Reddit. Meanwhile, reacting to the post, u/eggsceIlent commented, "Imagine this kid telling the story of how he was rescued by none other than Indiana Jones for the rest of his life." u/hlevinger wrote, "This is not the only person Harrison has rescued. According to our Grand Teton guide, he flew his helicopter up the mountain to rescue two teen girls who went up the mountain and it got dark on them." u/bluetuxedo22 shared, "Had Harrison Ford not been flying away with the Golden Idol, the boy might not have been found."

u/thedoorman121 pointed out, "Imagine being lost in the forest and suddenly you're rescued by f***ing Han Solo. I'd probably think I was dead or dying of heat stroke, lol!" u/sharkycartel_acu said, "Imagine you're some scared and worried 13-year-old boy in the wilderness and all of a sudden you get an idea to let people know you're there, and Han Solo comes to rescue you." On the other hand, u/robomikel wrote, "He also rescued some hikers in 2000 with his helicopter. Guys, a hero!"
