Boy secretly tries to 'make a deal' with an adoptable cat to bring him home after his mom said no

When you ask your parents for a pet, most likely, they would say no. They have weird but sensible reasons not to have a dog, such as, "You can't even do your laundry, and you expect yourself to care for a dog?" We hear it all the time. As kids, we dreamed of having a fuzzy cat or dog to live that Paris Hilton celebrity dog lifestyle, but it was never in the cards for some of us. When parents hear "pet," they most likely hear "time, expense, disruptions, and possible destruction of household furniture." You have to address their concerns and show a bit of pet leadership. There are, however, numerous options if you desire a fluffy canine friend. "The best way to get a puppy is to beg for a baby brother—and they'll settle for a puppy every time," Winston Pendleton once said. Sounds fair, right?
A story of a boy desperately wanting a cat from PetSmart despite being refused by his mom gained attention on Twitter. Haley (@feederofcats) tweeted about it, amassing over 225K likes and 14K retweets. After receiving a firm NO from his mother, the child devised a plan to get the cat. With his face pressed against the glass cage, he whispered his home address to the cat insinuating it to take care of the rest. We hope the cat pulls a Snowball from "Stuart Little" and finds its way to the given address. Many people in the comments who sympathized with the kid shared their pet stories. In @harukimurakami_'s novel "Kafka on the Shore" there's a character named Nakata who develops the ability to converse with cats after a brain injury. (This ends up being very useful in his occupation, which is finding lost cats.) Hopefully this child has a similar ability.

Cats know what they’re doing. My child cried over a dropped lollipop that had to be tossed just outside an adoption cage. The cat reached out through the bars & patted her on the shoulder, consoling her. It worked, cat’s been with us 4 yrs now.
