'I started bawling like a child. This is so precious. You can tell that the parents who coordinated this are good people too," commented a user after watching the clip.
Reuniting with friends or family after a long time can make anyone emotional. It makes one realize how much they have missed not seeing each other or spending time together. That's how these kids felt when they reunited after one of them moved out of the state. Their love for each other was visible in the way the two reacted seeing each other. "A kid surprises best friend after moving out of state," reads the text overlay in a Reddit video posted by u/EliteTusken. The child can be seen waiting outside his friend's house after ringing the bell. His best friend opens the door and immediately rushes forward to hug him. The best friend's sister also looks astonished while the two are hugging each other.
Two people who seem to be family members can be heard saying, "Who is that?... Surprise." The text overlay says, "These two friends were separated after one family moved to Florida." Then, one of the kids starts crying while hugging his friend. After that, the kid goes and hugs his friend's family members who are behind the camera. People can be heard asking, "Are you happy baby?" and "Hi guys, how are you?"
The video ends with people saying, "Oh, we did it!" and one of the kids saying, "Mission success." Meanwhile, the other kid tells them that he already knows that they are coming. The video has about 13 thousand upvotes on Reddit. It is captioned, "Two best friends reunite." Many on the internet loved the sweet moment between friends and their families.
"I started bawling like a child. This is so precious. You can tell that the parents who coordinated this are good people too," commented u/Mission-Barnacle5837. "I love seeing little boys be openly loving and vulnerable this way. I look at my little guy and try to treasure every memory of our tender moments because the emotional window closes so early, and so quick, for men," wrote u/quietcitizen. "I just love how the kid is so clearly excited for his friend to open the door," expressed u/Capital-Meet-6521. "My first-grade friend is still my best friend and we cry, too, sometimes when we meet after a long time. We are both 36 by the way," shared u/kid_sw2.
In another similarly heartwarming story, two friends Lena and Yolanda reunited 75 years after they first met as young girls during a 14-day ocean crossing. Reportedly, the two met when they were emigrating with their Italian families to the US in 1947. They met aboard Saturnia, a ship sailing toward America's Ellis Island. Years later, when Lena's son Steve was researching their voyage, she could easily remember her friend's name. Her son pursued every lead he got and finally managed to track her mother's friend down. He found that Yolanda was living just 2.5 hours away from them.

Though the pandemic delayed their reunion, they were finally able to meet last year. Yolanda's son Rich brought her to Lena's house in Meadville, Pennsylvania. "Yolanda was the face and name that was synonymous with my transition from one life to another," Lena said. "For that reason alone, I could never forget her. Now that we've been reunited, I am even more grateful to call her my friend and to have had the chance to share our stories."
