Boss garners praise for boosting employees' morale by cooking them meals every Wednesday

A healthy workplace environment can only exist if the superiors and their subordinates get along well with each other. But in most cases, people end up working under demanding bosses who usually turn the workplace environment sour with their closed-off behavior. But this boss is breaking all the negative stereotypes by doing something special for his employees each week and it has become sort of a tradition in this Reddit user's office. 

u/DatNick1988 shared a picture on the r/MadeMeSmile subreddit where a kind-hearted boss can be seen cooking a hearty meal for his employees on a Wednesday. The Reddit user captioned the post which read: "Our boss makes us breakfast every weds without fail. Really helps the morale." This is essentially giving all his co-workers a good reason to look forward to each week besides dealing with the workload.

The boss' face has been blurred to maintain his privacy and yet netizens can see him standing in front of a grill while holding a spatula, cooking up a wholesome meal consisting of eggs, bacon, and breakfast potatoes. The boss is apparently considerate of his vegan co-workers, as well as he, prepares a separate meal for that single worker. The community was moved by the boss' generous efforts to keep his employees happy and go the extra mile to prove that he truly appreciates their contribution to the workplace.

The Reddit user further commented that their boss does this every Wednesday without fail as he gathers his co-workers to prepare homemade meals for everyone as they arrive at their office. u/303uru shared their own experience about dealing with a difficult boss at their workplace and wrote: "When I was a pharmacy supervisor I used to bring donuts for my team (75 people) every Friday. The company wouldn’t pay for it as an expense, it was my money. One time my boss came in for a visit on a Friday and was appalled I did it. She had all these unsolicited ideas for how I could only provide donuts when metrics were met. Just appreciate people and the work they do."

Another user u/ccbayes appreciated the boss' efforts and commented: "Beyond the breakfast, which is awesome. They are showing they value the employees by using their time to benefit you all. They could order food and such, but making it themselves is a big show of how much you all matter." u/PioneerStandard shared a similar experience involving a boss who did her best to bring harmony in the workplace and wrote: "I had a manager/boss that baked amazing tourtiere pies and shared them with all of her employees. She treated everybody like family but she was stern and had great resolve. She earned the highest respect for caring for others yet having the business sense to keep everybody focused on their individual tasks and jobs."

As we continue to deal with increasing workloads and hectic hustle culture, it is extremely important to maintain a good relationship between coworkers and bosses of an organization. The humble things this Reddit user's boss does for every employee are really a big deal for many. It proves that in order to increase productivity, improve morale, and overall mental-health well-being of the workers the boss must show their appreciation towards their subordinates and make them feel worthy of their job or position. Though people might not get a boss like this who cooks them delicious brunch every week they can definitely expect to get respected and acknowledged for their hard work.
