RSPCA Western Australia posted a TikTok video in which one of their staff promoted the organization using the Gen Z terminology and people on the social media platform loved it.
A Gen Z staff wrote the advertisement for the prominent animal shelter. It begins with Sarah standing in front of the organization's nameplate and saying, “RSPCA WA has been around for 130 years, no cap." She then shows her uniform and says, "Fit check. Notice the drip." She delivered the lines with utter confidence and owned them. Next, she is seen wearing black sunglasses, standing next to an inspector and explaining, "We have 11 inspectors who are all female. Very girl boss. We stan our rescue queens." She continues, "Our inspectors regularly catch people in 4k when they display red flags." Sarah says while walking towards the camera.
After this, sitting next to a beautiful cat on a sofa, Sarah expresses, "This cat is slay. It's giving feline realness." Next, she is seen with some volunteers who are taking care of two dogs on leashes. She says about them, "Notice our volunteers interacting with the dogs? Very considerate. Very mindful. Very demure. They don't do too much.” She says each slang without any hesitance and in her own style. After this, she is outside a dog's cage and goes, “Can we have some W's in the chat for this handsome boy?" Sarah then is seen standing next to a walking track and explains, "This is our wellness walk for the dogs that are having menty b's. Next, she says, "This is the volunteer shed. They are the GOATS."
Then, the woman talking about their retail store shares, "This is our retail store where we sell Royal Canin." It ends with her saying, "We hope this video lives rent-free in your head. See you next time, Pookie." The video was captioned, "Sarah understood the assignment." In another similar video, Northumberland Zoo in the UK used a similar strategy to advertise their zoo. The zoo directors, Brian and Linda, took the challenge to use the terminology often used by GenZs. It starts with them saying that their zoo "hits differently." They are then seen making a heart shape using their fingers. Later, Brian is seen pointing at a bat and calling it a "bat." His wife corrects him by saying, "No, I think it's a brat." So, he then calls it a "brat." After this, they are in an enclosure with an owl and it makes a sound and Linda goes, "Main character energy." Then, Linda is seen standing next to a skunk and she asks, "See how he's eating?" and responds, "Very cutesy, very mindful, very demure." It ends with Linda telling their followers, "We are amped up for your visit."
