Elderly dads are often touted to be emotionally unavailable and clueless about how to empathize or express emotions in certain situations. In most cases, it has more to do with the fact that they themselves were not supported in that manner by their parents while growing up. However, that does not mean that they don't care about their children or do not understand what they are going through. And this dad proves it. In a video posted on TikTok by @jac.rose8, Jacqueline shares that her husband wants to divorce her, and knowing that, her father came to the room as she was "non-functional in bed." The overlay text reads, "...her dad didn’t know what to do, so he played his favorite song, the Dua Lipa ‘Rocket Man’ remix."

She records her dad who is explaining what he "sees" as the song is playing. He says, “I can see, like, four singers in the background while he’s there by himself,” he says while dancing, which may be referring to "Rocket Man" originator Sir Elton John, according to ScaryMommy. Jacqueline asks her dad, "He's jamming out?" He responds, "Yeah, moving around a little bit!" while he continues to dance in the cutest way. The video ends with him stopping the song on his phone as it finishes.

The video went viral with more than 499k views and 71.9k likes. People on the social media platform loved the dad's gesture to comfort her daughter. @ashleyspica commented, "That’s so sweet though, not pressuring you to talk he just want to be with you." @kdy422 wrote, "That’s a good dad. It’s okay that we don’t always have the words." To this comment, the daughter replied, "Exactly! He didn’t know what to say but he was there and helped me in such a sweet way. He’s the best." @pepsterchic expressed, "Sometimes the best reaction/comfort is the completely unexpected one. Take care friend." @kristine_toth shared, "This made me cry. He loves you so much. You can tell he’s beside himself and doing his best to help. So sweet."

In a follow-up video, Jacqueline also spoke about how her parents have been helping her out. She says, "My dad just called me from Home Depot to get me light bulbs because when he was here the light bulbs in my living room fan were gone because they went out so we took them out because we were gonna go to Home Depot then we got a divorce and that didn't happen."

She continues, "It has been 7 days so he is just picking up lights for me so I can have lights in my living room. He's a really great dad."

Jacqueline adds that her mom made her favorite dinner and made sure that she had four meals in the fridge so she does not have to worry about cooking.

She concludes by saying, "So if you're friend/family is ever going through a divorce or something really sad changing their light bulbs and making sure they have food and playing them Dua Lipa Miz Dupa Lupa remixes is really helpful."
