'Don't touch me, goodbye!'

A survey by the Pew Research Center found that 6 in 10 women under the age of 35 who have used dating apps say that people have tried contacting them even after they said they were not interested. Unfortunately, it happens more often than we imagine, and not just on dating apps but also in real life. Restaurants, bars, and while walking on the streets in broad daylight, women often encounter creepy men trying to approach them, flirt with them, and get aggressive when shown refusal. Similarly, Abigail, too, was at a bar when a creep refused to let her enjoy herself alone. Fortunately, she was with her sister (@kat_skii), a bodybuilder, who stepped in, leaving the intruder red-faced.

The man had intruded on their privacy and was constantly trying to make conversation with Abigail. "Why are you so defensive?" he asked, and her sister looked surprised by the man's audacity while he was at fault. The man then urged Abigail's sister to be nicer and not so rude. To this, she responded with a stern tone, "I don't have to be nice to anybody." The creep tried to give her a high-five, but she shut him down by warning, "Don't touch me, goodbye!" No matter how many times they told him to leave, he didn't. "Do I need to say it twice?" Abigail's sister questioned, but the man went on to accuse her of being rude for no reason. She told him that he was in their personal space, disturbing them, but he kept arguing. In fact, the man reminded her that they were in a bar, so that justified his intrusion. Moving on, when he questioned her for speaking on behalf of Abigail, she told him that he didn't have to talk to her sister. When the man asked why, she said, "Because I said so." Finally, that worked, and the man left, giving them some time alone. "When her eyes go wide, and she whispers 'help me' because she gets uncomfy and doesn’t have a mean bone in her body," she wrote, captioning the moment.
Meanwhile, people in the comments criticized the man for trying to approach the woman even after she told him she wasn't interested. For instance, @jamie_lee_august commented, "Every woman watching that knows the spike in adrenaline she felt when she had to say, 'because I said so.' Men, when you hear that, just accept defeat." @_lyyssa_ wrote, "This makes me f****** ANGRY that he didn’t leave after the FIRST time she told him TO LEAVE THEM ALONE."

@ishan.hewa said, "This isn’t being rude. I worked as a bouncer for 3 years. Some guys are predatory and have to be told 'no' really aggressively, especially when they’re drunk." @richellewtf shared, "I am this friend; you do not make my girls uncomfortable. I had to have this conversation with a dude at a rave. Fun times." Similarly, @inkcesa confessed, "This is me. I don't give a f**k about pissing anyone off or being called all the names in the book, but I will always stick up for my friends and myself, politely, until I don't have to."
