On March 26, 2023, Blake Lively attended the Wrexham women's game with her husband, Ryan Reynolds, who is the co-owner of the soccer club. The game was watched by a record crowd of 9,511 for a women's domestic match in Wales and fans were delighted to see the happy couple among the attendees. According to The Independent, while Lively was walking around the Wrexham FC stadium, she greeted a couple of fans and one fan who got her attention asked: "Blake, please say hi to Stephanie! It’s my girlfriend."

In response, the "Gossip Girl" star smiled at the camera and said, "Hi, Stephanie." She then jokingly added, "You should leave him!" She said, "What!" as her cheeky remark made spectators in the stadium chuckle and hurried to her other fans.

The fan who got roasted shared a video of the hilarious interaction on Twitter, where it racked up over 141.8K views. "Stephs cried happiness, and she’s absolutely over the moon," Sam wrote. "Luckily, she hasn’t broken up with me! Thanks again."

Speaking to the Mail, his girlfriend, Stephanie, said of the incident: "I just love Blake Lively... I was so jealous that Sam had gone to the match without me because I was working, and I was just crying when I got the video. I love her. She is my favorite person in the world."

Sam also recalled his encounter with the Hollywood star and praised her husband's sense of humor and his decision to buy the soccer team with his friend, actor Rob McElhenney. "I wasn't sure when I'd get another chance to speak to Blake again, so I sprinted to the other end of the stadium where Blake was meeting fans. I was on the other end of the stand, and as soon as I saw her coming down, I thought, 'I'm at least going to try and get a video,'" he explained.

"There were hundreds there waiting. Eventually, I was near enough to get a chance to speak to her. And when she said it, I couldn't believe it. I thought it was hilarious. Blake was so lovely. Afterward, she was signing stuff, and she looked at me and said, 'I was joking.' So that was nice," Sam added.

Reynolds bought the Welsh club with Rob McElhenney in November 2020 and has been a frequent visitor to the club since the takeover, including appearances this month as he cheered on Wrexham's women's team. However, this is not the first time Lively has trolled some guests at a Wrexham game.

In January, she made fun of her husband, who was feeling overwhelmed during Wrexham's FA Cup draw with Sheffield United. Sharing a television image of Reynolds on her Instagram story, Lively wrote: "I bought espn+ today. Just to watch my husband experience crippling anxiety live. Worth it."

At AFC stadium on Saturday, Reynolds was spotted holding his newborn baby alongside Lively and their three other daughters: James, eight; Betty, six; and Inez, three. The "Green Lantern" star's team went on to beat York City 3-0 in the Vanarama National League. For their joint ownership of the National League team, Reynolds and McElhenney have higher ambitions, with Reynolds revealing that a climb into the English top tier is not out of the question.

"In 10 years, the plan has been and always will be the Premier League," Reynolds explained, reports The Independent. "If it's theoretically possible to go from the fifth tier to the Premier League, why wouldn’t we try?" Nobody has ever done anything great in this world thinking, 'You know what, let's go halfway,' so let's go all the way, and we believe we can do that. Call us crazy, but that's what we want to do."
