Black people work to lift each other up and there's no bigger example of that than in the entertainment industry. It's visibly evident in award functions and it was no different at the Gloden Globe Awards. Jennifer Hudson announced Angela Bassett as the Best Supporting Actress for her role as Queen Ramonda in "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever." Hudson got visibly excited after opening the envelope and realizing Bassett had won the award.

It was not a one-off though. Film writer, Blanche Deverheaux took to Twitter and wrote, "When there’s a Black presenter for a category with a Black nominee, you can tell by their face RIGHT when they open that envelope if we won LMAO #GoldenGlobes." And people on the platform completely agreed with her. Soon many on Twitter began sharing instances when a Black presenter was ecstatic announcing the Black celebrity winners. @PoeticJusticeK wrote, "When Three Six Mafia won that Oscar And Queen Latifah started laughing." @EZBreezyT said, "This is SOOOOOO true! One of my favorite examples was Whitney Houston presenting Lauryn Hill with a Grammy for Album Of The Year. I couldn't tell who was more excited, Whitney or Lauryn." @Heirof_Adonis shared a clip of the 28th Grammys when Dionne Warwick announced Whitney Houston as the winner, the person wrote, "This is probably my favorite of all time!!!" @weekendflex pointed out that when Billy Porter won the Emmys for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for Pose in 2019, it was announced by Kerry Washington and she was so happy about it, the Twitter user captioned it, "Re: Kerry Washington and Billy Porter" along with the clip.
