What should've been a quick stop at the nearest Dollar General store turned into a 45-minute drive to Walmart. Mitchell's Luxe (@sincere_1228177) shared a clip of a Black mother confronting a store manager two days after he refused to let her buy baby wipes from his store. The woman stood at the counter with several loaded carts. When it was time to pay, the mother apologized to the people standing in line behind her, and explained what the manager had said to her two nights ago, along with some petty punishment. Posted on July 9, 2026, the video reached 1,605 views, 111 likes, and 10 comments.

45-minute petty revenge

The mother apologized for making them wait, and she explained, "I came here two nights ago, ten minutes before the store closed, and you [manager] had the door locked." She requested him to come in because she needed baby wipes urgently, but he told her the door was locked. When she asked for his name, he said that she did not need to know because he was the manager. The mother then revealed that she had to drive 45 minutes to Walmart just to get wipes for her baby. Two days later, taking justice into her own hands, she pointed to all the carts filled with different items, and she said to the manager, "Now you're going to spend 45 minutes putting all this sh*t back." The people standing in line were clapping and hollering in support.

Black/African-Americans racially profiled while shopping

It remained unclear if the manager refused to let the woman in because he was discriminating against her based on her race or not, but a DealAid survey in 2023 found that 90.2% of Black/African-Americans experienced racial profiling while shopping in stores. 89.1% knew someone of Black or African-American descent who was racially profiled. 51% shared that they were most often racially profiled while shopping at departmental stores. On the other hand, a WaitWhile survey conducted in 2023 found that 68.5% of store employees dealt with angry customers. One of the main reasons was the long wait times. But in the case of the Black mother, she came to the store 10 minutes before it was closed, and did not mention having to wait in a queue.

People in the comment section congratulated the mother for her level of pettiness. Some also shared similar experiences with Dollar General. @granny6pack commented, "Love this level of petty." @prettytina14 added, "I hate this Dollar General, all the employees are rude as f*ck! Nobody ever gives you time to put your number in for online coupons, and they like to try to keep your coupons from the receipts to give to other people."
