Steve Irwin's daughter is getting candid about her experiences with endometriosis, being a mother and thoughts on expanding her family.
Asking couples about their family plans is a sensitive topic and Bindi Irwin is addressing people about this issue. Irwin, who is the daughter of the late animal conservationist and TV personality Steve Irwin, recently appeared with her husband Chandler Powell on the YouTube channel of Australia Zoo for a Q and A session. Over a video, the couple discussed an array of topics about their personal life, including their thoughts about expanding their family.
“Are you two planning on having another child?” the pair said was a common question they come across pretty often. “Bindi, a lot of you may already know, she went through a big journey with endometriosis. And basically, it was an absolute miracle that we had Grace,” Powell informed the audience, referring to their 3-year-old daughter. According to TODAY, Irwin and Powell welcomed their first child, daughter Grace Warrior Irwin Powell, back on March 25, 2021, on the day of their wedding anniversary. Powell shared that he and his wife are enjoying every single moment with their toddler.

“We love Grace so much and are reveling in every little moment we have with her, with our little miracle baby,” he revealed. “So we are so happy with our little family at three.” Irwin said that she appreciates anyone who is curious to know if the couple is planning to have another child or not but she has a special reminder for them. "I do just want to send it out there that remember to be careful when you ask this question because you never know what’s happening in someone’s life,” Irwin advised. “In a family’s world, everything may seem fine on the outside and on the inside, their own personal journey might have been filled with turmoil and challenges that you can’t even fathom.”

Even though Irwin acknowledges the "kindness and good intent" behind people's inquiry she still wants people to be thoughtful while asking them sensitive questions. "It’s also a really tricky question for many, many people who maybe can’t have another baby (or) can’t have a baby at all. We feel very lucky to have Grace,” she continued. “She is our beautiful girl, but she will probably be our one child. Maybe we will be blessed with another little one down the road. That would be incredible. But who knows?”
Powell agreed with his wife and nodded as Irwin clarified further that she dislikes using the word "only" while talking about her daughter. “Grace is our child,” Irwin added. “She is our one beautiful, perfect, amazing little girl. And, oh my goodness, every single day I think about how lucky we are to have her.” It was a difficult road to becoming a mother for Irwin who shared her endometriosis diagnosis through her Instagram account @bindisueirwin. In a post, Irwin shared a picture of her lying in the hospital bed.

In the post caption, Irwin revealed that for the past 10 years, she has suffered through "insurmountable fatigue, pain and nausea" until her diagnosis. "Going in for surgery was scary but I knew I couldn’t live like I was. Every part of my life was getting torn apart because of the pain. To cut a long story short, they found 37 lesions, some very deep and difficult to remove and a chocolate cyst," she added in the post. "Please be gentle and pause before asking me (or any woman) when we’ll be having more children. After all that my body has gone through, I feel tremendously grateful that we have our gorgeous daughter. She feels like our family’s miracle."
