Woman 'picks out' her dream ring at a store without realizing her boyfriend had already bought it for her

A couple was walking past a jewelry store when a diamond ring caught the lady's attention. It was so beautiful that she stopped to admire it, unaware that her boyfriend had chosen a similar one for his proposal. Christian Swole Ricketts (@swolericketts), who had been planning the proposal for a year, had told all his friends except Cranon, his now-fiancée, about his plan.

As Cranon stood outside the store, taking pictures of the ring, Christian and his friends, especially Jamal Browner, had a hard time keeping the secret. "She is going to look at rings and has no idea that she is going to be proposed to tomorrow," Christian said. Cranon and one of their friends went inside the store, while Jamal, who couldn't hold his excitement, said, "That's the ring my boy got for her. He knows her by heart." Christian playfully asked Jamal to keep his voice low, as he was scared that Cranon might hear. Moving on, he explained that his partner has, in fact, sent him a Pinterest inspiration of the ring, and Christian had purchased it for her. "She came by and looked at this ring and said, 'Oh my God, this is my dream ring,'" he said, only for Jamal to add, "Little did she know her dream would come true."

In another video, Christian confessed his love for Cranon while revealing how he had been planning for his proposal. He wrote, "When you know, you know. I started this process over a year ago, purchasing the stone without any clear direction. Even then, I knew @cranonnn was the one. Fast forward to now, our union was timed perfectly and wasn’t rushed to please those who foresaw it. Great things develop on God's timing."

A survey by Diamonds Factory found that 36% of married women would have preferred to choose their own engagement ring. They also found that 14% of men admitted they made the wrong decision, highlighting the importance of making decisions together. The fact that Christian was sure he wanted to propose to Cranon with the ring she wanted shows just how much he values her desire. Sure, surprises are sweet, but picking up a ring without understanding what your partner wants? Well, that's a gamble he sensibly skipped.
