He had dismissed Anji as a 'good friend' with a history to the other girlfriend.

After almost a year of dating her boyfriend, a woman planned to introduce him to her parents as he kept dropping hints of popping the question. But she says she discovered he had also been dating another woman at the same time. What was supposed to be a major milestone for Instagram user ANJI story (@anji_story) turned into a nightmare of betrayal. The heartbreaking reveal blew up online, racking up over 29,300 likes and 1,067 reshares in just 24 hours. It's been viewed 5.1 million times.
For over twelve months, Anji believed she was building a long-term future with the man she loved. The two were actively planning a life together that included moving to Bali, opening a cafe named "ANJI," and starting a new life. She took on the full business strategy, handling everything from menu creation to legal planning, all while supporting him at home by cooking, cleaning, and doing his laundry every Sunday while he was supposedly out "playing golf." However, everything unraveled on September 17th after she officially posted him on social media. Shortly after, another woman reached out, saying she had been dating him since last November, was also told they were getting married, and was actually scheduled to go on a camping trip with him that exact weekend.
When confronted with the truth, it turned out he had dismissed the poster to the other woman as a "good friend" with a history, while simultaneously telling her to block girls who interacted with her posts. From Anji’s perspective, the messages and timelines suggested he had been maintaining both relationships at once while making similar promises about marriage and the future. "I've never been so humiliated in my life. I feel tricked. Betrayed. Heartbroken," she wrote, warning her followers that "if you feel like something is off... it probably is..." says the poster.

Someone can seem committed to a relationship while keeping a secret from their partner. Research cited by Psychology Today found that, among unfaithful spouses, 56% of men and 34% of women described their marriages as happy. And while the research is on marriages, it shows why appearances alone may not tell the whole story.

The comment section flooded with an overwhelming wave of support, shared personal heartbreaks, and collective outrage over the betrayal. Many users bonded over having survived similar painful experiences in their own relationships. Commending her resilience and encouraging her to pursue her personal goals, commenter @gray_isthename wrote, "Girl, you’re way too beautiful to be dealing with that man lol". Meanwhile, user @suzzzzzzza offered uplifting support for her future plans, stating, "Open that cafe, Maybe find love again if you would like, and live and thrive"
