Nina Bakhshi only found out about her mother's miraculous prayer because of her boyfriend's recording

Parents are often described as angels on Earth because of their love, sacrifices, and unwavering support for their children. Iranian makeup artist Nina Bakshi (@ninabakhshi) suffered a nearly fatal fall during her birthday trip in Cancún. Instead of 5 days in Mexico, it turned into 20. While Bakhshi was recovering in the hospital, she was on a FaceTime call with her boyfriend, Pourya Bonakdari a.k.a. Poo Bon, who captured a wholesome moment between mother and daughter. The post received three million views, 309,900 likes, 301 comments, and 8,710 saves.
@ninabakhshi Moms are real angels on this planet I know my story wasn't luck! Im not religious but i believe in whatever she is doing for me cuz it was all her!❤️🩹❤️ #fyp #motherdaughter #spinalinjury #prayers ♬ original sound - €
Bakhshi was lying on her side on the hospital bed, attached to medical equipment that monitored her fragile condition. Her mother was behind her, slowly playing and brushing her daughter's hair to help her relax. Bonakdari captured the sweet moment on the FaceTime call. Bakhshi's mother was also seen whispering silent prayers over her sleeping daughter. Bakhshi, who was grateful for her mother's care, wrote in the caption, "I know my story wasn't luck! I'm not religious, but I believe in whatever she is doing for me 'cause it was all her."
@ninabakhshi I left Mexico after 20 something days! This trip was supposed to be only five days! If I sound slow and funny, it's because the pain medicine makes me very drowsy and the neck brace also stops my jaw from fully being opened so yeah just a quick update. I'm back home.💗❤️🩹 #happybirthdaytome #healing #fyp ♬ original sound - Nina bakhshi
Bakhshi shared the details of her injury on her GoFundMe page, detailing what was supposed to be a fun trip turned disastrous. During a hike, she fell from a bridge and sustained multiple fractures to her spine and neck. 28 hours after the accident, she managed to undergo spine surgery. She still has "untreated fractures" in her neck, is unable to walk normally, and is not fit to go back to work yet. In her latest update, Bonakdari brought the birthday celebrations to her. As she stepped out onto the lawn, a small mariachi band played for her as he presented her with a bouquet of roses.
Bakhshi believed that the reason she was not dead or paralyzed was because of her mother's prayers over her. A KKF study revealed that most of the time, mothers skipped work to care for their sick children. Although each family is different, mothers are 10 times more likely to do so. The study also revealed that 39% of the respondents (mothers) were responsible for taking care of the sick child, while only 3% of the respondents (fathers) reported taking care of their sick kids.
34% reported that their spouse or partner took care of them, and 42% revealed that it was a joint responsibility. Another Pew Research Center survey conducted in 2015 found that 47% of mothers took care of their sick children, while only 6% of fathers did the same. However, 47% reported that they equally took care of their ailing children.

People in the comment section were gushing about Bakhshi's mother and her love for her daughter. Many also noted how lucky Bakhshi was to have a mother like her. @riftzzazsh wrote, "You know what? A mother's prayer is a sincere prayer that reaches the sky." @yruaqui added, "As a mom, I recognize that look. She’s wishing she could take your pain away."
