Best friend's hilarious and innocent mishap while filming woman's proposal is cracking everyone up

A proposal is a moment that every couple wants to be special as they hold it close to their hearts for eternity. To cherish this memory, they record every moment of it. Therefore, many couples opt for hiring photographers or asking friends to click pictures when one of them pops the question. Mary Dawson–who goes by @marydawsonl on TikTok–was also asked by her friends to do the same, but in a hilarious mix-up, she recorded something else in the place of the proposal. But what she did end up getting on camera was so cute that nobody, let alone the couple, could stay mad at her. 

The video starts with a couple standing in front of each other, sharing sweet words and ready to propose. From the angle, it is evident that Dawson is hidden somewhere so that she is not noticed by the party, who is to be surprised. The whole setup was beautiful, with beaming lights and a lively day. Suddenly, the view shifted to a raccoon right outside the fence. It seems as if Dawson got distracted by the cute animal near her and chose to bestow her focus on that rather than the proposal that was taking place. She was mesmerized by the raccoon's cuteness and completely forgot her purpose of being there.

As soon as she came to her senses, she switched the camera. By then, the proposal was completed and the couple was embracing. Dawson poked fun at herself with the text overlay where she wrote, "POV: I shouldn't have been trusted to record my friend's proposal." It is quite obvious that she is an animal lover and for a lot like hers, the cuteness of a raccoon trumps the promise of a lifetime of love. But, not to fret, as the caption shares that the friend was not angry. No one would be angry to get the footage of such a cute raccoon on their camera and such a legendary story.

The comment section was in splits, seeing the whole mishap. @sylvester_danielle_ hoped the couple met the raccoon and wrote, "I seriously hope you showed them the raccoon in person after they did that thing on one knee. Nothing like seeing an animal in their habitat." @dylanmulvaney shared what she would have done in this situation and commented, "I woulda laughed so hard."

Another beautiful proposal story happened at Chloe's wedding. She uploaded a video showing her fulfilling the bouquet toss tradition. This tradition is done to see who will get married next. It is believed that whoever catches the bouquet is the one who will walk down the aisle next. To everyone's surprise, she stopped midway and gave the bouquet to her mother. Just then, her mother's partner appeared and proposed to her in front of everyone. She happily accepted. "She gave me away, so I wanted her to match me," Robinson shared in a comment in response to one that reads: "How selfless of the bride on her day."
