Best friend adds comedic flair to woman's proposal with his hilarious commentary

While we may appear strong on the outside, deep inside, most of us crave that one friend who holds our hand through all the thick and thin. They say true friendships are born out of nothing but love. Perhaps that’s why they also last forever. Keeping the same spirit alive, a woman’s best friend turned her proposal into an online spectacle. The one being proposed to, Ashna—who goes by @ohmygoshna on TikTok, requested her buddy to record the special moment. However, the “guy best friend” went one step ahead, bringing a humorous twist to the occasion through his unusual commentary.

As per the video originally posted in 2022, the unidentified “special friend” behind the camera did not shy away from adding comic flair to Ashna’s engagement proposal. “This video isn’t gonna pick up what he says to you, but I guess you can get my commentary,” he said. It showed Ashna meeting her partner, Nikhil, who was standing with a bouquet in his hands in front of a lake.

The best friend, seemingly excited about the whole setup, joked about the Toronto-based couple’s outfit. As Ashna stepped closer to Nikhil, he remarked, “Jeans are looking great. Your fits’ pretty proper.” Following this, a compliment awaited the man of the moment. “Look at Nikhil being all cute. Oh! This man has planned this s*** out,” was heard in the running commentary in the background. At this moment, Nikhil leaned in and shared a kiss with Ashna. The best friend, being lazy, refrained from taking pictures. “I’m not taking pictures. I don’t have enough hands,” he said, pointing the camera toward empty chairs.

However, he walked around to record the video from a better angle to incorporate the beautiful view at the scenic site. Amid the young couple discussing their future, their special bond, and, of course, the wedding bells, the best friend had his own demands. “Get on one knee, b****,” he said, referring to Nikhil. “I can hear him. He said, ‘I love you so much,’” added the buddy recording his best friend getting proposed to for engagement “Oh! S***, I feel like he’s going to forget the ring,” remarked the best friend as he got tired of standing there all alone. “That could be a pretty joke,” his non-stop commentary followed.

“I don’t know if he’s crying. This is getting cute,” were the words when Nikhil was just about to go down on one knee. “He really just went all out, eh,” he said, directed toward Nikhil, who had brought the ring out of his pocket. The witty friend finally got emotional looking at Ashna getting proposed to and uttered, “Awww, I’m gonna cry.” But he could not hold his emotions for too long and returned to his original style. “Oh, what! Why am I crying?” he asked himself this question. “Oh! His pants are gonna be wet for hours,” the man behind the camera jokingly added. Notably, the video aptly captured the water puddles all over the ground, probably after heavy showers.

“Toronto mans’ coming through” was heard in the running commentary on the one-minute-and-fourteen-second video. “All right, now lift her up. Lift her up,” it added as the young couple exchanged a final hug. Additionally, the video drew massive attention on social media, garnering over 598K views and thousands of comments. “Now I want a best friend reveal.
