Baby has the sweetest reaction to finding photo of hospitalized mom and we can't handle the cuteness

We are all attached to our mothers irrespective of the state of our current relationship with them. They are the first ever people in our lives who provide unconditional love and support to us. As we grow up, we tend to move away from our parents but for children, they cannot even process being separated from their parents. So, when a toddler's mother was in the hospital for three days, he surely would have noticed her absence. 

The child's father decided to show the baby a picture of his mother and recorded his reaction. One-year-old Westin's reaction is absolutely heartwarming and was posted by his mother, Brittany Goodliffe, on Instagram. The video starts with the father handing Westin an ID card that had a picture of Brittany. The text inlay reads, "POV: you miss your mom, who has been in the hospital for 3 days and you find a picture of her." The little boy immediately recognizes her and gasps while touching her picture gently. His face lights up and his facial expressions display the love he has for his mother. 

The child then goes ahead and kissed the photo and agrees when his father asks, "Are you kissing your mamma?" Brittany wrote alongside the adorable video, "My boy 🥺😭 being away from him for days at a time is the hardest thing ever! Can’t wait to give him the biggest hug ever and a million kisses!" The video has been viewed more than 130k times and has several comments from people expressing their delight upon seeing the boy kissing his mother's photo. Instagram user @ebon1120 commented, "That’s powerful…a baby can look at a picture of mommy and love on her…OMG that’s awesome!!!" Another person @alliebonds_ said, "Awww this makes me want to cry!! Can’t wait for you to be reunited with her sweet babe! He is going to be so excited to see you!" 

"You did bond with him. Adorable knowing who are you. Please get well soon! Take personal care because he needs you. Praying for you although I do not know you," said @imendez8. The video was also posted on Twitter by GoodNewsCorrespondent gathering close to 5k views and several comments. 

In a similar video, a video of a little child recognizing her mother at a school musical went viral. Amaris Traversy, 2, is seen in the TikTok video with her preschool classmates on a stage. Amaris was among all the children dressed in their paper crowns singing a song led by their instructor. But she couldn't focus on anything but her mother, Genevieve Traversy, who was in the audience for a Thanksgiving celebration.

Traversy shot the video in 2019, but it was first released on TikTok in 2022. She added in the caption that she captured this moment shortly after "adopting my baby girl," who turned 5 in 2022. She can be seen mouthing "my mommy" in the video. Traversy explained in the caption, "Instead of singing, she kept pointing at me saying 'My Mommy'." She told TODAY, "I felt like that was the moment she realized I wasn't going anywhere. I'm going to cry just thinking about it."
