As her deaf grandparents talk to her in sign language, the baby too tries to mimic the same in her own adorable way.
It is a heartening sight to watch babies listening passionately to their grandparents' stories. These interactions not only entertain the little ones but also instill fascination in their tiny brains. Many times, such videos of adorable interactions show the babies trying to talk back as well. But one baby stole millions of hearts on the internet by trying to sign while interacting with her deaf grandparents. Mara McCullough–who goes by @mara_mccullough on TikTok–shared a wholesome video of her daughter Jane "babbling in sign language" with her grandpa and grandma and this undeniably cute interaction garnered over five million views in just a day.
In the beginning, we can see Jane lying on her bouncer chair and frantically waving her arms and legs. At first, we might think she's just too excited, but when the camera zooms out, we can see that her deaf grandparents are signing to her. Standing in front of Jane, the grandparents tell her in sign language, "You love talking to grandpa," to which the little one flutters her hands, trying to mimic them. "Fascinating conversation. I'm fascinated by what you have to talk about," the grandma signs back. The little one patiently waits for her grandparents to finish signing before seemingly trying to respond in sign language herself.
As the grandpa says, "This story is crazy," the grandma adds, "She's telling us all about her busy day." True to their words, it looks as though Jane is narrating a story or an incident with adorable facial expressions. The grandma then asked, "I'm curious. You had a very long nap today! Did you have good dreams?" Observing her grandma's actions, the little one made more babbling sounds while flapping her arms as though she was answering the question. The grandparents showered appreciation for Jane, calling her a "champ storyteller" and she couldn't help but scream in excitement.
Over 6000 comments poured in and people couldn't get enough of Jane's cuteness. "As a CODA who cut contact with her parents. This both heals my heart and hurts it. What a beautiful little relationship they'll have," said @babyvina15. "The way she waits for her turn and pays attention to their signs as if truly conversing with them," remarked @creativestitches76. "The best part is her concentration face while she's babbling in sign. She just knows she's saying the right thing," chimed in @jenna.leroy.

More of Jane's adorable interactions with her grandpa can be seen in an earlier video shared by her mom on the platform. As her grandpa talks random things to Jane, she attentively looks at him with a smile. The proud grandpa signs to Jane's mom, who was capturing the video, "She's very observant. She doesn't want to miss anything. She's always looking around her surroundings. When it comes to sounds and visuals, she doesn't miss anything." Then grandpa and little Jane take a walk in the lush green backyard, where the baby admires nature with wide eyes. As grandpa shows her trees, lizards and bees, Jane ardently keeps observing everything. What a truly special relationship the little one shares with her grandparents.
