Autistic woman has a wholesome reaction to ordering room service for the first time

Life is all about finding the little joys in life. One of the things that make life hard for adults is not being able to appreciate and celebrate the little moments as one used to when they were kids. However, certain people possess the ability to find joy and notice even the littlest moments of victory. A woman named Paige Layle, who is diagnosed with autism, shared a video recently with the most wholesome reaction towards a very regular procedure. Layle ordered room service for the first time and had the most joyous reaction upon successfully placing her order.

The woman, who was staying at a hotel, shared her planned yet spontaneous process leaving many in awe. Layle said, “I’m staying at a hotel and I’d like breakfast.” The woman then mentioned that she had never used room service before. She further shared that she had made up her mind about what she wanted for breakfast and had also figured out what she’d say on the call. “I’ve looked at what I want for breakfast,” Layle said. She then explained excitedly how surprisingly easy it was to get room service and was already appreciative of the basic technology.

“All I have to do is dial the star and then I can say what I want and they’ll send it to me,” she mentioned intrigued. Layle revealed that she was autistic and found it rather unusual and “weird” to order room service for the first time. Eager yet nervous, the woman freaked out a little and said, “I’m gonna do it. I wanted to take a video.” With a shriek and a large smile, she repeated the steps to herself and said, “Dial star, then I say 'hi' and then I’ll say, ‘Could you send a yogurt parfait up to room 3003?’” She added, “I bet they’ll say, ‘Yes ma’am,’ and I’ll go, ‘Okay, thank you,’ and that will be it.”

Repeating the words of her order several times before getting her hands on the telephone, Layle even clenched her hands in excited nervousness. One could tell that this experience would be worthwhile. As Layle dialed the star and waited for the call to be answered, she held her hand to her mouth excitedly. As soon as she received her response, she placed her order as she planned. Feeling overjoyed and overwhelmed after successfully ordering what she intended to, Layle then ordered a coffee impulsively and aced that too.” After hanging up, the woman took a moment to herself to silently celebrate her victory.

Smiling beyond comparison, Layle said, “I did it, it’s coming and it was easy and it’s fine.” She continued to chuckle at her accomplishment in the most adorable way before concluding the video. The woman shared a glimpse of her “perfect” order with the biggest smile ever. Amassing over 800k likes, several people applauded Layle for her bravery and confidence. @laurencecadk said, “You did amazing!
