Austin Butler is hailed for his chivalry at the 29th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards. The 31-year-old actor, who stars as Elvis Presley in a biopic, assisted fellow actors Sally Field and Jennifer Coolidge during the ceremony. As Field was making her way to the stage to receive her Life Achievement Award, Butler offered his hand and helped her navigate the stairs in her high heels and floor-length dress, per TODAY. Field expressed her gratitude and even adjusted the lapels of Butler’s jacket before embracing presenter Andrew Garfield. The heartwarming moment was widely praised on social media, with one viewer on Twitter calling it the "cutest thing ever."

Butler also assisted Coolidge as she accepted the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series. Viewers lauded Butler’s gentlemanly behavior, with one person tweeting, “He definitely gets the best gentleman award of the evening.” Another fan, @LinesB2ween, gushed over the caring exchange between Field and Butler at the top of the stairs, noting, “the way Sally Field fixed Austin Butler’s suit after he helps her to the stage.” Field’s son, Sam Greisman, also weighed in on the moment, sharing a photo of his mom standing between Butler and Garfield and jokingly remarking, “She has a better game than me.” Overall, viewers were touched by Butler’s kind actions, with one fan @TivoliFalcon tweeting, "Austin Butler kindly helping ladies up the steps to the stage when he isn’t even sitting next to it is so pure."

During the awards ceremony, Austin Butler extended his assistance to Jennifer Coolidge, 61, the recipient of the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series award for "White Lotus." Twitter user @patbky tweeted, "He just escorted Jennifer Coolidge up the stairs too. She definitely gets the best gentleman award of the evening." Another user @vampnailz said, "I need more of Jennifer Coolidge and Austin butler interacting."

In another similar incident, Lady Gaga helped SZA with her dress as she went up the stage. Following the announcement of the winner for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, SZA, who was nominated alongside Doja Cat for "Kiss Me More," struggled to reach the stage due to an injured ankle. Other nominees for the award included Justin Bieber and Benny Blanco for "Lonely," BTS for "Butter," Coldplay for "Higher Power," and Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga for "I Get a Kick Out of You."

Despite losing the award to SZA and Doja Cat, Lady Gaga received praise from fans for her graceful and kind gestures. SZA, who was wearing a skintight mermaid-cut Jean Paul Gaultier gown with a long tulle train, was struggling to make it to the stage on crutches, particularly up the stairs. Lady Gaga noticed SZA's difficulty and while applauding her, bent down to lift the train and carry it for her until she reached the stage. Gaga has always been appreciated for her humble and kind behavior and her small gesture at the 65th Grammy Awards won everyone's hearts online and those who were present.
