Artist turns strangers' day around with soothing gesture: 'Sit here if you're having a bad day'

Artists make this world a better place with their talent and expression. Singer and songwriter Forrest Frank is one of such talented artists who only spreads joy and happiness with their work. Recently, the musician found a unique and heart-melting way to bring a smile to random strangers' faces. Seated by a table out in the open with nothing but his microphone and laptop, Frank managed to turn a stranger’s day around with his wholesome gesture. He shared a glimpse of the same on Instagram.

Frank put up a sign, which read, “Sit here if you’re having a bad day.” He patiently waited for someone to come by and soon enough, a man came up to take the seat. With his hands in his pocket, completely lost and hopeless, the man came up to Frank, read the sign and said, “That would be me.” Frank warmly invited him to sit on the opposite bench and gave him a pair of headphones. As the man sat down feeling low, the musician gently introduced uplifting drum beats as the introduction to his song. This was followed by a mellow tune, upbeat and serene and the man slowly began to vibe to the same.

As Frank observed him enjoy the music, he continued to add beats and began singing “Good Day.” “I’m bout to have a good day, no matter what they say…. The sun is shining down on me, the birds are singing praise,” Frank began singing. The song and its lyrics were truly uplifting and hopeful, with an encouraging boost to the man. Four lines down the song, the man began to smile and move along with the music. As Frank continued, the man eventually got a bigger smile on his and it was visible that he felt light and relieved. By the end of the song, the man let out a big breath in relief and nodded his head in approval. “I needed that, thank you, bro,” he said.

Several people commended the artist for lifting the man’s spirits and encouraged him to go on. @dimirtraofdivinity said, “What you are doing here matters!” @shellystahlman wrote, “What an amazing, perfect thing to do. I love it when you spread the light.” @karnewahweah remarked, “Where does he stay? Need him here!” In another video, Frank shared how he turned around the day of another exhausted mom. She was on the verge of tears before she read the sign and sat down to hear what Frank had in store. Keeping her baby’s pram to the side, she put on the headphones only to hear the soothing and optimistic masterpiece the artist rendered.

She wiped her tears and let out a smile, feeling relieved. By the end of the song, the mom was smiling and nodding her head too, feeling comforted and encouraged. She even looked over at her baby and smiled before asking Frank whether she could thank him with a hug for an immersive experience. @colourmebleu said, “I saw the pain in that mom's eyes. I’m glad she stopped and he was able to make her smile.” @thekingshah1 exclaimed, “This man did an amazing good deed and helped this mama. This is a win.”
