Artist left hilariously flabbergasted after going all out to help a cat with a 'broken' paw

Animals have hilarious tricks they usually play to fool the human mind for reasons beyond our understanding. While sometimes they just want cuddles, other times they seem to flex their mischief simply because they can. Artist Whiskey Rabbit (@whiskeyrabbitart) shared a video on TikTok of a cat in their neighborhood who seemed to be severely injured. When they decided to help the feline, several social media users joined to help them with suggestions, monetary aid and so on. However, the incident led to a hilarious twist that had everyone on the floor roaring with laughter. The artist had mentioned in their videos that they had found the neighborhood cat with a seemingly broken foot and that they tried to help him out.

“We got him inside, made him comfy, got him a litter box and so on,” they said in the video. They also explained that the cat seemed scared in his box because their other female feline was hysterically dramatic and screaming all the time. The artist further explained that they had an appointment with a vet who would decide whether or not the cat’s paw could be fixed. “We don’t know whether it can be set or whether we’re going to have to amputate it,” they added. The small business owner also decided to sell their custom-made pillows and keep the proceeds for the cat’s surgery and recovery. People on the platform were very supportive and hoped for the cat’s quick healing.

However, things took an unforeseen twist in the follow-up video. The artist began the video by saying: “Nothing is going to prepare you for the end of this video.” They first revealed that the cat was actually a female, contradictory to what they'd originally thought. They then mentioned that they went to the vet to get the cat examined and waited for the news.

“She is f**king fine. There is nothing wrong with her,” the artist said, flabbergasted and amused by the audacity of the cat to have played them all this while. They further revealed that the cat was born with her paw like that. Moreover, when they arrived at the vet, the cat hilariously walked around the vet’s room like nothing ever happened, leaving the artist jaw-dropped. “She probably tore a ligament and that’s why she’s limping, but she is fine,” they added. They also mentioned how the entire event was mind-boggling and decided to name the cat “Faker” due to her mischievous deeds.

Furthermore, they thanked the internet in the caption and also mentioned that the rest of the funds collected would go into helping the cat and her six friends. Commenters were bawling their eyes out with laughter, feeling partially fooled by the feline. It was indeed well-played by the cat, considering she managed to lure over 2k people online into her trap. @kateadverse said, “Such a cat thing to do.” @pearlphlox agreed and added, “I thought my cat broke her foot because she was limping. Turns out there was a speck of litter on her foot.”
