Artist hilariously trolls people asking for free drawings and they're so bad, they're kind of good

As with practically every artist to walk the face of the earth, Jon Arton from Birmingham, England, has received countless requests for free art. While most awkwardly navigate their way out of such situations, Arton decided to have some fun with it and teach freeloaders a valuable lesson in the most hilarious way. Rather than waste his precious time trying to explain why his time and talents are valuable, he began trolling such requests with quick and snarky drawings that are as bad as can be.

"I've always done pencil drawings since I was a kid," he told Bored Panda. "I love art, and it's all I've ever wanted to do. I'd spend my time in class doodling insulting images of the teachers. It got me in trouble a few times but was worth it for making people laugh." Speaking of the constant requests for free drawings, Arton admitted that they tend to be rather irritating at times. "I take it as a compliment, and most people are a bit unaware of how much time can go into a piece of art. I thought a silly doodle might be the best comeback to that and hopefully make people laugh," he said.

"Art isn’t really seen as a job/career but more of a hobby which you enjoy, so people assume you would be happy to do it for a little bit of ‘exposure,'" the artist added. "I wish I could fulfill drawing ideas for free. It is something I have done for giveaways to my followers online or for charity. Sadly, I have to fund my expensive pencil habit."
