Most people know that asking questions about a person's weight is not considered good etiquette, especially if it is not requested with sensitivity and does not have certain relevance to the situation. However, at the same time, it is not uncommon for celebrities to encounter interviewers who ask them uncomfortable questions about their weight or looks. Such questions can be quite challenging to tackle. However, certain celebrities give such memorable answers to such questions that the idea becomes a big hit among the audience. Similarly, when the interviewer, Chris Van Vliet, asked Anne Hathway about her weight, she tackled it interestingly, as per a video on his YouTube channel.

Vilet asked "The Princess Diaries" actress a question about her weight during the promotion of her 2012 movie "The Dark Knight Rises," in which the actress played the iconic role of "Catwoman," Selina Kyle. The clip started doing the rounds on the internet again recently. Vliet began, "Fans are really excited about this. A couple of days ago, we saw the first photos of you as Catwoman." He blatantly questioned, "How did you fit into that suit?" The actress immediately laughed at the question before she answered, "It takes three of us." She continued laughing before she added, "A lot of lead time, sit-ups, tricep curls, bench kicks, I don't know."

He then commented how Hathway was in "phenomenal shape" at that moment. "How much weight have you lost to get into this shape right now," he asked next. "You did not just ask me that question," the actress said as she gasped jokingly. "What a forward young man you are," she continued, making a mock surprise face. "My goodness, how much weight!" Hathway said, giving Vliet the side eye. The interviewer grew a little hysteric and said, "I am sorry," before explaining himself. "I am not saying that you need to lose weight," he said, defending himself. "I am just saying you look..." he started.

The actress cut him off and pointed out, "I have worked very hard to become Selina Kyle." Vliet remarked, "I know you have. Well, thank you very much." Hathway chuckled as the man extended his hand and said, "I am sorry if I offended you." She reassured him, "You didn't at all. I am just messing with you." Many people took to the comments to express their opinions about the question and "The Intern" actress's response to it.

@groovedood wrote, "I can’t believe public opinion was ever against her. She gives the best possible response to this. She demands respect but has a sense of humor about it." @Alicia1984NL commented, "She’s just confident and playing. All the things she says and does the body language she’s doing on purpose. Don’t forget that she’s an actress. If the script would say ‘flirting,’ she would do it like this." @SleepyWolf remarked, "I would have had an aneurysm because my brain wouldn’t be able to process anything if she looked at me like that." @Becksnnc expressed, "She was a good sport about it, lol. The poor interviewer didn't mean it in terms of calling her fat. It was just badly worded. She wasn't offended at all, haha."
