Man captures a day of lunch and shopping with grandparents and it's adorable

A day out with grandparents is not something people only enjoy as children. As they get older, there are more reasons to spend time with grandparents and get to know who they are. In a heartwarming video posted on TikTok, @waltzytan documented a day with his grandparents eating and shopping together and creating memories he will cherish for a long time.

The video begins with Walter having lunch with his grandparents. They have a hotpot on their table. The overlay text reads, "Today I told my grandparents I wanted to get them out for lunch and buy them shoes." Then his granddad can be seen trying out shoes at Sperry. "Bought my grandpa to Sperry cuz I know he will look dashing in boat shoes," reads the text in the video. He then asks his grandfather if he is happy that he brought him out for shopping. "Of course, why would I not be happy?" he responds.

Then he gets her grandma to Sketchers to buy a pair of shoes. First, she tries a pair that the grandpa chooses. Then she tries two or three more shoes. The overlay text reads, "It was so funny. She told me her shoe size was 8. But when she tried it, it was too small. So...I found out she randomly gave me a number LOL." She said 8 because apparently, it was a good number. However, they end up buying the pair selected by the grandfather. Walter explains, "I'm with my grandpa on this! This color does look good on her and it seems really easy for her to slip on without bending over to wear it." She can be seen walking in the store in those pairs. She says to Walter, "Thank you for your love."

He then gets them coffee after shopping. The grandpa can be seen sharing his cup with his wife. Then Walter teaches his granddad how to use the new Instax mini 11 in the video. He manages to take a picture of Walter with his "favorite aunt." "I was legit quite shocked he managed to operate it," reads the overlay text. The video concludes with the pictures that Walter takes of his grandparents that day. The overlay text reads, "As much as I would love to, I don't get to spend as much time with them these days."

The video went viral with more than 1 million views, with over 187k likes. It is captioned, "New core memory with my dearest grandparents. You may call them yours too."
