'I don't ask anybody to perform a freaking exorcism; it's just common sense' Liv said

People who are in the service industry are expected to act with patience and professionalism. LivNation (@mylesisthebest12), an Airbnb host and defense attorney, did the complete opposite. In a now-deleted post, Liv (The Lux Ledge) shared that the same guests who left her house looking as though a tornado had torn through it still gave her a four-star review. Liv's videos went viral, and soon enough, Daniel Brett (@dryfterhomes), another Airbnb host, commented on it on September 23, 2026. His video has received over 1 million views.

Brett shared clips from Liv's now-deleted video, where she talked about her guests in an extremely condescending manner. She began by sharing how the guests texted her multiple questions about her property. She even mocked them for not knowing where the popcorn was in the popcorn machine. "It's not a scavenger hunt," she said. Liv also alleged that the guests asked for a late checkout, making her "rearrange her entire life." In fact, after they left, she found her property in a pretty messed-up situation. "It was like a tornado came through. I don't ask anybody to perform a freaking exorcism; it's just common sense." Nonetheless, Liv called herself a "reasonable person" because despite the state they left her house in, she gave them five stars.

Brett said, "This is where things don't compute, right? If you think they left the house in good enough shape, you gave those guests five stars." It made him question whether Liv was actually telling the truth. In her video, she mentioned her guests leaving a four-star review without an explanation. "Apparently, my performance needed improvement. Where'd you guys put the fifth star? Did you put it on the p**p stains that were on that rug?" Liv said. Brett was shocked by the way Liv spoke about her guests. He said, "As an Airbnb host myself, I can understand how frustrating it is to get a four-star review sometimes... Sometimes these Airbnb hosts' worst enemy is themselves."

Hosting strangers in your home comes with challenges, and one of them is a dirty house after they leave. Liv was annoyed that her guests left her property disorganized, but she was more irritated by the four-star review. A Localimpact survey (1,068 US adults) from 2025 found that more than 78% of individuals would refuse to consider a business with a rating that's below 4 stars. In fact, people are mostly inclined towards businesses with 4.5 stars and above. Similarly, 88.3% of consumers have avoided a business after reading a negative review. This could explain why Liv reacted the way she did after receiving a four-star rating. Nonetheless, it was unprofessional of her to berate her guests.

People were clearly on the side of the guests after seeing Liv's video. @susiebelle89 wrote, "I’m paying over £100 in cleaning fees. I ain’t cleaning sh*t. I’m not destroying things, but I’m not stripping the beds." @christinegarzand explained, "She'd be ticked at me too. The way I was taught: five stars is the top, above and beyond, incredible, not only no problems but better than the interaction should have gone. Four stars is what you expected, still great, maybe a little snag, but still a good time, great place, priced well, etc. Four stars isn't bad. I'll buy things with a four-star review because 5 stars is nearly perfect; 4 is still good and reliable."
