An Airbnb host was upset when a guest asked her for extra toilet paper less than two days after checking in. Mrs. Messy, who goes by @mrsmessytiktok on TikTok, shared this story in a video she posted yesterday. Mrs. Messy said that one of the three guests staying at her place asked for more toilet paper on the second day of their seven-day visit.

The owner clarified that she carries two rolls of toilet paper for each bathroom in the Airbnb, for a total of four rolls. “Our Airbnb guest has reached out to me on the second day of their seven-day stay and asked for more toilet paper,” she wrote on the text overlay of the video. “We leave two big rolls of toilet paper per bathroom so four total,” she added. Mrs. Messy purchased additional toilet paper. She was unprepared for what the guests did next, though.

Mrs. Messy revealed that the only supplies she offers at her Airbnb are a "starter pack" of necessities. Hand and dish soaps, four laundry detergent pods, ten coffee bags, milk, sugar, and cleaning supplies are all included in one box. "The nightly price is below $100. You can't get that price, even at the motel in Florida right by the beach in July," the owner clarified

Mrs. Messy conveyed she didn’t understand why the guest couldn’t bring their toilet paper if they knew they’d use so much. She added that the guest “made a big deal out of it,” saying three people were staying and they needed more toilet paper right away.

Despite being annoyed, the owner drove 40 minutes to the Airbnb with 20 rolls of toilet paper and then another 40 minutes back since she thought the visitor had made a huge fuss. She ended up delivering 20 rolls of toilet paper, which took her 80 minutes of travel time. After she arrived, Mrs. Messy found out that the visitors had left and that they had also taken sugar, hand soap, and other items from the Airbnb in addition to the toilet paper.

Her video gathered 3.1 million views. Despite the guests taking her belongings, most viewers supported them. "Idk, I’d expect an Airbnb to have extra rolls of toilet paper," said @karleeforniaa. "Yep. Team hotel. Don’t have to cook, clean and no one knows or blasts me for how much tp I use." added @crochetmanic0.  Here @jjs3girls added her experience with another AirBnB, "Man, our Airbnb in Destin provided everything including a complimentary bottle of wine. 2 rolls of TP is a bit ridiculous." @crystygarrett too shared why they prefer hotels, "And this is why we are a hotel family. And will continue to be. They clean, provide all our amenities and we don’t have to worry about it and a lot of them do have full kitchens."

Though most people supported the guests, some even sided with the creator's side, @jennsneed2 said, "I would never expect more than just a starter of anything in an Airbnb. I’m so confused as to why people are so entitled and think all this should be provided for the entire stay." @vivixnsxnchez also added, "You all missing the part where it’s less than $100 a night on the beach in July." @deidrelewis sided with the owner and said, "Why wouldn't he just go buy more? We have used all detergent before and have replaced it and left it!"
