During a Southwest flight to Austin, a flight attendant decided to give the bride a special surprise.
Getting married is an exciting and emotional journey for most brides-to-be. However, amidst all the excitement, nervousness often creeps in. With so much to plan and anticipate, a few heartfelt words of advice can bring comfort, ease worries, and make the journey even more special. That’s exactly what happened to Bri Kunkle–who goes by @brikunk on TikTok–during her flight to Austin for her bachelorette trip. Mid-air, she received the sweetest surprise when a kind Southwest Airlines flight attendant, Dena, not only congratulated her but also invited fellow passengers to share their best marriage advice on napkins. What started as a simple flight turned into a heartwarming experience, turning Bri’s wedding jitters into pure joy.
"We have a royalty on board! Just in case you are wondering, we have a young lady who is a bride-to-be. She is quite the princess!" the generous flight attendant announced while Kunkle sat overwhelmed by the unexpected attention. The flight attendant then invited all married and soon-to-be-married women on the flight to share a piece of advice for Kunkle as she embarked on her journey into married life. "You can write that on the napkin so that I can pass that off to her, and she can hold on to those for a long time to remember this specific trip," she said.
After the heartfelt announcement, one of the crew members adorned Kunkle with a sparkling crown and sash, making the moment even more special. She eventually also received a handful of marriage advice scribbles on napkins from kindhearted strangers, turning her trip into an unforgettable experience. She shared photos of the napkins in the video. "My heart is full, and now I have to go make a scrapbook with these," Kunkle wrote in the caption.
Meanwhile, reacting to the wholesome video, @kj commented, "Notice how they all wrote to you as if they already knew you. We should all learn to love in a small way, even like this, just a little more. Congrats, Brie!" Similarly, @jcajlaa shared, "This is one of the best videos I’ve seen. That flight attendant is a queen." @haley wrote, "Oh my god! What a special thing it is to be a part of girlhood!" @caralawyer added, "Something about all of these women’s handwriting makes me so emotional. The young, the old and the older women all added the date. I love women. What a special moment with a bunch of strangers."
@judgyafrican mentioned one of the pieces of advice shared by one of the passengers and said, "Wow! Thank you for sharing the notes. So much shared wisdom. My favorite one was: 'It’s a choice, not an emotion to love every day.' Congrats!" @samanthapaige_ suggested, "I don't know how you would do it, but it would be so cute if you scanned these and printed a couple of your favorites for cocktail napkins for the bar at your wedding!" @brooke_elaine6 chimed in, "I am a Southwest flight attendant and I’m tearing up watching this! So glad you all had the best flight attendants on your flight and thank you for posting! Congratulations!" @sarita commented, "The way everyone said, 'Never go to bed mad,' 'Stay friends,' and 'Have a sense of humor,' I loved it."
