Adorable little boy hilariously mimics mom while trying to comfort baby sister: 'He's there to help'

Of course, little kids have the purest souls and the most innocent minds. But sometimes, they surprise us by mimicking what adults do and one can't help but appreciate the way their minds work. It is a cute sight to watch a little person behaving like a grown-up and the internet is full of it. Earlier this June, Gisselle—a mom of two who goes by @gissssellleee on TikTok–shared an adorable video of her son trying to comfort his newborn baby sister. What made the situation more hilarious was how he had observed his mom earlier and tried to copy the way she consoled the baby. 

As the 13-second video begins, the toddler, who was sitting on the couch with his little sister on his lap, seemed to be squirming a bit. Seeing him feel uncomfortable, his dad asked him, "What do you want? You want me to take her?" The boy proceeds to tug at his t-shirt and so the dad takes the baby away from his lap. But, it turns out, the toddler was not uncomfortable. He was trying to lift his shirt to nurse his baby sister, who seemed cranky. The little one had probably observed his mom breastfeeding his baby sister and he wanted to comfort her by doing so too. "No, Leonardo, no," said his parents as they burst into laughter. 

The video garnered over 2.4 million views in just a few weeks and people are adoring the toddler's hilarious yet thoughtful solution to calm his newborn sister. "Oh my goodness, the critical thinking. She's crying, so she must be hungry. Too cute," said @ivmob. "The pure innocence. He just wanted to help. Such a good big brother already!" pointed out @jayceekaufman. "That is so intelligent. He's clearly watching mommy's every move," lauded @ashleyciado0. "He needed Dad to move her just long enough to pull his shirt up," added @808emi. "Little man watches. He's gonna be an attentive older brother. Love it," shared @cellyd1.

Speaking of toddlers mimicking their moms, a little girl mimicking her pregnant mom who was having contractions went viral online. Gareth Oliver (@garetholiverofficial), a TikTok content creator, shared the moment when his 2-year-old daughter was helping her mom during contractions. "I took this literally three hours before my wife gave birth. My 2-year-old was having contractions too!" the text overlay read. Standing next to her mom, who was constantly swaying and taking deep breaths because of the pain, the child made an amusingly cute gesture. 

Barely a few hours before labor, when the mom was experiencing some painful contractions, the toddler observed her actions. Mimicking her pregnant mom, the little one breathed heavily through her mouth because she probably observed that terrible pains could be alleviated by taking deep breaths. Despite the pain, the mom was quite amused to see the adorable sight of her toddler copying her. The little one unknowingly eased the labor pain for her mom and her dad said, "Oh my God!" and proceeded to laugh at this cuteness.
