Adam Sandler is more than just a funnyman who has been making audiences laugh with his comedic roles on screen. He is also known for his heartfelt performances and for sharing the screen with his actor buddies in Hollywood. The 58-year-old "Grown Ups" actor has starred alongside Kevin James, Rob Schneider, David Spade, Drew Barrymore and Jennifer Aniston in multiple movies and television projects. At some point, his fans may have wondered why these familiar faces appear so often in his films.

While appearing on an episode of "The Howard Stern Show" in 2015, Sandler opened up about why he repeatedly collaborates with his actor friends and it's surprisingly wholesome. A snippet from the candid interview was also uploaded to TikTok by @howardsternshow. Sandler explained how his relationships with his co-stars go beyond professional bonds and are deeply personal. "I do have more fun with my friends. I do like to put them in all my movies. I know it's gonna be a better day when they're there. And I also want them to have a great thing to do. I like seeing them killing all that stuff," Sandler told Stern.

When Stern asked if Sandler felt like the "boss" while acting as producer, director and actor alongside his friends, Sandler provided a sincere response. "I never feel like the boss. I feel like I have the responsibility of making sure it all goes smoothly for them. Like when 'Grown Ups' happened and those guys were all in it, I swear to god, my first instinct was to not want to let those guys down," Sandler explained. He also shared his frustrations about the negative reviews his comedy projects often received.

"It's funny that I get bad reviews on everything I do. That part annoys me because I asked my friends to be in it and I promised them that it's good. I do screenings for an audience and it all works," Sandler said. He explained that when negative reviews start flooding in, he hopes his friends can see the movie before reading the critiques. In most cases, Sandler himself avoids reading the reviews. The comment section of the interview clip on TikTok was filled with praise from cinephiles and his fans.

@dshack1993 commented, "Look, Adam's movies will never do well from the critics but the general population loves his movies, which means more than some snob who gets paid to criticize every detail." @breathemommadragon mentioned, "Critics hate funny movies. But America loves them. So who cares what those critics say. Adam is the goat." @y_ampiii added, "Adam’s movies are all very very criticized by critics and have bad reviews but he makes amazing movies but they are all so fun and funny. Love everything he does. He does it for fun but we enjoy them and honestly, the critics can say what they want. I will still watch them.
