Even the best-crafted resume can easily end up overlooked by potential employers. But what if your resume showed up inside a pizza box? Pizza Hut, one of the world’s largest fast-food chains, has launched an inventive campaign aimed at job seekers. The company is offering to print resumes on their pizza boxes and deliver them directly to potential employers, reports My Modern Met.

This clever initiative boosts hopeful candidates’ chances of landing a job with their preferred employer. The initiative has been dubbed "ResZAmes" and has been made available since September 22, 2024. It started in the middle of something known as the "September Surge," which often marks a time when there is an increase in job opportunities in various industries. So far, the ResZAmes initiative has been kickstarted in New York only, which is known for its competitive job markets.

"We know finding a job can be daunting, especially during this key hiring season, so we wanted to lend a hand to our job-seeking customers and help them break through the clutter," said Pizza Hut's Chief Marketing Officer, Melissa Friebe, in a statement, per their website. "By combining Pizza Hut's iconic pizza boxes with job seekers' résumés, we are hoping to help résumés drum up the same excitement as office pizza and help the applicant make a lasting impression. Who could ignore a résumé when it is delivered as a delicious pizza?"

The ResZAmes features a medium-sized pizza that will get hand-delivered to offices picked by the customer for free. However, job seekers need to enter the ZIP code of the headquarters of the desired potential employer to check if the area is eligible for pizza delivery. Then, the job seekers can create their resume through an online form and submit it to Pizza Hut, waiting for their response. If selected for the printing process, the jobseekers will get notified about it. There is no clear information on how many people have been selected for this initiative so far, but it seems like the idea is about to take off in other areas of the U.S. soon.

On one hand, someone might land a job through this wholesome initiative if the pizza boxes with resumes fall into the hands of the right customer. Unfortunately, Pizza Hut customers aren't always kind towards the company's employees. A video posted on the TikTok of @capricornred87 captured a woman strolling into a Pizza Hut store, complaining about how her pizza was a thin crust and had no sauce. A worker at the store calmly points out that the other woman had already eaten half of the pizza, but the customer continues getting more and more aggressive, demanding the worker to show her the "sauce."

In a fit of rage, the customer threw the pizza at the worker, sending it plopping onto the floor. As the irate customer stormed out, she briefly locked eyes with the person filming. The worker followed her outside, leading to a heated exchange where the worker pushed the woman down. The video continued until the red-faced customer drove away. Social media users applauded the employee for standing up for herself.
