It was by accident that a woman named Cheryl discovered something was off with her fiancé just a month before their wedding. He had told her he was going on a fishing trip. While she was home alone, she logged into the computer to email some wedding vendors. She noticed that her partner was logged into his Facebook when a message popped up from his brother, who had replied to a photo of him. After seeing the photo, instead of waiting to confront him, Cheryl decided to act immediately. In a September 30, 2026 episode of Melbourne's 101.9 The Fox (@thefox1019), she shared her story with hosts Lucy and Nikki. The video has been viewed more than 154,000 times.

Truth unleashed by accident

Cheryl was with this man for 10 years, and they were about to get married the following month. He had told her that he was going on a fishing trip. But when she logged into the computer, his Facebook messages showed an entirely different reality. Hidden in the feed of the message threads was a photo of him with another woman in a hotel.

'I like your photos'

Cheryl immediately sensed a red flag. She gathered all his stuff and tossed it out of her house, also securing the house so he couldn’t step inside again. She took screenshots of the computer and then took a photo of his stuff on the front lawn and sent him both. “I like your photos. Do you like mine?” she messaged him. Eventually, she got the locks changed, recorded the garage, and then cancelled the wedding. “I have never felt so empowered in my life,” the woman said.

Cheating disintegrates relationships

As a study published in the International Journal of Environmental Health and Public Health documented, research across 160 cultures revealed that infidelity is the most common reason for a breakup. Additionally, Psychology Today suggests that 40% of adults involved in cheating are soon divorced or separated from their partners, while 50% remain married despite infidelity.

Absolute queen behavior

Viewers showered compliments on Cheryl for taking the brave step to end the decade-old relationship. @j9_64_nz commented, “What a legend, you go girl!” @lil1carleta said, “Well done, Cheryl! But the story also shows that men cheat for bragging rights. He couldn't just go and quietly come back; he had to take a photo and show off his infidelity.”
