A dad honestly reviewed his toddler's 'restaurant.' It went viral.

Christophe Kyle just wanted to support another black-owned business. Though his first meal didn't go too well, he plans to return because the chef was so cute.

It's important to support your child in their endeavors. At a very young age, Christophe Kyle's daughter Ava is already making pretty big moves in the restaurant biz. Using her "kitchen" and "utensils," she decided to invite her dad over for a meal. After his sit-down lunch, he decided to leave a rather honest review for his ambitious and talented daughter. Of course, the kitchen - and sadly, the meal, too - was all make-believe, but Christophe's review has since gone viral. Other parents couldn't help but appreciate his humor. Like him, they have also been forced to sit through several pretend meals due to the ongoing lockdown.

Posting a photo of himself looking rather disgruntled in his daughter's "restaurant" setup (a toy kitchen beside a table set for two), he shared his review on Instagram. "So I tried to support another black-owned business for lunch today," he stated. "It’s called Ava’s Kitchen, just opened [at the] end of April. It’s a very clean establishment, but whewww, let me tell you about this owner." He began by describing the restauranteur's choice in decor. The father wrote, "First off, I asked why there are balloons on my chair, [as] it’s not my birthday? She talm’bout, 'Mind yah business; those are Mommy’s.'"

Of course, then he had to move on to reviewing the service, which he wasn't too happy about. "I been waiting on my order to get done for 45 minutes, and I’m the only customer here," he continued. "She was making good progress at first, then she stopped for 20 minutes to go watch Paw Patrol." Despite the hitches he experienced, he did commit to giving Ava's Kitchen another try. After all, you have got to support your own daughter in her ambitions, right? Christophe concluded, "Overall the customer service could be better, but the cook is a cutie; so I’ll give her another chance. Let’s not give up on black businesses so fast after one mistake." Amen!

The post immediately went viral. Since it was first posted, it has received over 11,000 likes and hundreds of comments. Parents took to the comments section to let him know that his post had reminded them of when their own children were younger. For instance, one Instagram user stated, "My girls outgrew their play kitchen over 10 years ago. Sitting on those tiny chairs and 'eating' plastic broccoli and steak! Precious memories." Some even wanted to book reservations. One user commented, "Adorable, lol. I will need a reservation for three. But in all seriousness, cherish it because they grow so fast."

In an interview, Christophe revealed details about his daughter's - the restauranteur's - personality. "Ava’s personality is absolutely amazing," he said. "She is such a silly girl. From the moment she wakes up, she’s laughing, smiling, and playing the entire day." As this dad is a full-time entrepreneur, he actually gets to spend a lot of time with Ava as he works from home. Though he was hesitant about purchasing the toy kitchen for her, Christophe is so glad he gave in. He shared, "When my wife made the purchase, I was hesitant about spending a few hundred dollars on it. It has been worth every penny. Ava is the star of her own little world when she is ready to play." Ava has quickly become the star of our social media feeds as well!
